I've heard it's a challenging hike.

Yes, we started at 5:30 AM and I finished at 5:30 PM. The next person in the group finished at 6:30 PM, and the last of the group finished about two hours after that.

It was about 50F at the South Rim, about 100F at Phantom Ranch, and about 54F at the North Rim (approximately 9,000 feet elevation). The canyon is open from May to October 15th. If you’re serious about hiking it, make your reservations at the North Rim Lodge soon. We stayed in Tusayan at the South Rim.

It is a very difficult hike, don’t underestimate how hard it will be and the toll the heat takes on you.

But - I would highly recommend it if you’ve done your prep work.

I’ve cut back on my bench press and power cleans and I’m working on my squats. I am also getting pretty good at chins. My wrist straps work really well for doing them. Things are going okay with me. I’m headed home in a few weeks to see my Mom.

After shoulder pop on MON, I can tell its a minor one after a few days.

Did shoulders today, light.

Smith-Press (front) - 4 sets
Smith-Press (rear) - 4 sets
Rear delt machine - 4 sets
Side laterals (machine) - 4 sets
Flex-Fitness Delt-Press - 4 sets

Leg Extensions - 4 sets
Cable-crossovers (light, front-delt stretch) - 4 sets

The flex-fitness machine our gym has. At first I wasn't a fan, but now am after getting used to it and using it more.
