I don't think it was I think he's right it was early 90s
Do you have a picture of the original ad?Before/after going into a “space capsule”.Guaranteed it’s from the late 1980s.
1993
End of thread
Gotta love Getbig now. Can't even post a bodybuilding photo anymore without someone arguing with you. 100% this ad is from the 1980s.
As I said, the ad appears to play off Jim Quinn's "Future" gimmick from the WBF, particularly his routine from 1991.
Good call!I stand corrected!Do you think the pic in the ad is a photoshop? He looks WAY bigger than in the video.
Nope. Here again is the pic from the 1991 WBF ChampionshipHe actually has the pod in the 1992 WBF show.
CRAZY!Would have done some damage in the IFBB.Thanks for posting!😮
No problem. Here again is 1992 with the pod.
LOLYou’re right. That’s where the ad comes from.Impressive build by today’s standards.Hard to believe this was over 30 years ago.😮
Dennis Newman, Kevin Levrone, Late Scott Wilson all had similar fantastic delt-traps tie-inPorter Cottrell had also fantastic shoulder albeit with much smaller structure. While too blocky Craig Titus also had strong delts.
Believe it or not, this was when Vince McMahon was testing the WBF guys, because the feds were breathing down his neck. Jim Quinn wasn't quite as big there as he was in 1991.
I love Vince’s enthuschmoesiasm. Lol at Platz saying he saw Jim doing 150lb dumbbell kickbacks. Never trust a bodybuilder
Crazy!I thought Weider played a role in the WBF testing too?Killed the WBC.
While very impressive and I’m a big fan of Quinn’s. I’d say Strydom for my money. Or Ruhl for absolute freak factor.
The (“ Future”) ad was before the WBF as I remember it (turned pro was sponsored by Twinlabs ) ad came out joined the WBF they kind of “ borrowed on it “ lol
