You cannot squat 315 lbs??
I never squat

Arnold had no conditioning, so there was no way he could win.

No substitute for squats.

your legs dont know you are squatting, the muscles just respond to intensity.

Your legs are way stronger than your low back, to really push the quads and hams to failure you would blow out your low back squatting way before your legs failed.

Excuses don't build muscle

correct, intense training does, regarless of the excercises you choose.

Same results can be achieved with leg press, probably even better for leg size.

But squats are far easier on my knees so I use them now instead.

This. Guys with sticks for legs are always saying otherwise.

He was not,  he was middle sized, he had one of the best waist to hips ratio in bodybuilding, his built was similiar to Frank Zane.

Gironda disappeared in a Medium T Shirt. A small man. Also a delusional alcoholic.

Zane was overated his best shots were when he contorted his torso to hide the fact it didn't flow with his lower body

No substitute for squats.

For bodybuilding there are absolutely and dare I say it even superior exercises - leg press and lunges deliver similar results with less risk

For perhaps performance training then I agree they are without equal

Zane was a small stringy man with abs. Bodybuilding should be about size and strength. We've been on the right track with Big Ramy.

He would kick people out of the gym if they did back squats.
