Im trying to figure out how many sets of 3to 5 reps to failure it really takes for a non novice to get stronger. Im pretty gassed after 4 or 5 sets of 3to5 .  Im sure i could do 10 sets but would have to decrease weight or increase rest between sets

Leg Press - 7 sets
Leg extensions - 5 sets
Adductor Machine - 2 sets

Seated Leg Curls - 6 sets

Leg Press Calf Raises - 6 sets

Hoist Lower Back Exts. 2 sets (very light,slow and controlled for 30 reps)

6/17:  5.2 mile ruck for time, hills, offroad 44lb...approx 13 min mile - downpour rain 1 mile in

6/18
Airdyne/Sled

Squat: 6x5

Reverse sled drag - 100lbs + 44lb ruck - 1/2 mile non stop (this sucked)
Ruck with 65lb 1/2 mile.

Need to up the calories a bit for the next 3 weeks.

You read what you want to read Brian.   I have said over and over that I do not wish to be near stage ready.  It doesn't suit my goals.  Would you ask a powerlifter to be sub 8% bodyfat and if they aren't, you're better than they are?  Are you lean?  Yes.  Do you have that bloated gut that comes from so much drug abuse that we all have seen in bodybuilders in the last 20 - 30 years....yep.  Stop denying it.  Just like you denied for year you "weren't bald". 

My personal opinion on bodybuilding shows is that they are a waste of time.  Just my opinion.  Of course, you wouldn't know much about the shows being that you almost always bail out of them.
