Yep put the feet lower to activate more quad ie. greater knee extension

What about foot width? Hip width, shoulder width of even wider?

There's a vid of Paul Jean Gulliume squatting 405 for reps with feet hip width apart and full squats past parallel

Shit was impressive as fuck 💪💪💪

I put mine maybe 10 inches appart mate, heels will likley come off platform but do t worry about it feels awkward as fuck first few sessions but becomes natural, I do the same when squatting never reached 405 in that form though here’s an old video with about 270lbs comfortably set of 5 paused, on all leg movements i prioritise range of motion over weight go with this technique mate if development is goal

That's picture perfect form and you are 6'1 too boot

The taller you are generally the harder it is to squat with that form

Thank you brother honestly form over weight is key for full quad development progressive overload still important and should be strived for but in full deep movements
My little short legs make it a lot easier for me to squat deep than most 6’1” blokes though so it’s kind of cheating haha most taller people may need elevated heel

You are in no danger off overshadowing anything with 20 inch quads you dont train

I'll put 2 full inches on them within a matter of weeks so that would take them to 22.5

Their biggest was 24.5

My arm is now 15 1/3 so to keep proportions I can't let them go over 23

If I can get my arm back to 16 then they can go to 24

Pretty sure 16 is the biggest I can get it in top condition ie. 5% bodyfat

What's weird is my arm to chest ratio is perfect ie. 3-1 arms 15 1/3 chest 46 but my chest appears to outsize my arms at least from the front but that could be because my outer/lateral tricep is sucky from the front

I started on my own but my mini found me and insisted on working out. He was so enthusiastic and kept asking if he could lift bigger weights. I had to hold him back I don't want a 4 year old ego lifter. But his enthusiasm was contagious I tried to use the dumbells and plates to work on his math as well. Explaining 2 5lb dumbells was equal to 1 10lb plate etc etc

Sometimes he lost interest or wanted to do a different exercise so I really just let him do whatever he wanted but kept a close eye for safety

Don't forget brain weds last week you said you would train legs with squats before th end of the week. How didn't that go for you?

He was directly upstairs eating snacks with a 13 year old. He came down when I finished my warm up sets and watched my 3 working sets he did sets between he actual did like 2-3 sets between mine he didnt understand concept of resting but I watched him very close. He was also super impressed even though I didn't go heavy. I dont care it was the best workout ever. I could not have been more proud of him. And his enthusiasm was contagious I cant wait to work out with him again. I also think the cables are great for him I have to pull the handle down for him to grab it but we can put light weights on it so feels safe for him with pulleys he also likes to load the plates

I will say I tried to get him to do dumbell squats and he said I dont want to do those. So far he is just an upper body weight lifter other than his deadlifts but we rode our bikes to the marina so he is building up his leg strength. But no squats for him yet
