As with any schooling.  We had a 30-40% drop out rate the first year.  That 1st midterm week was such a predictor of who was going to make it ad who wasn't.  Some think this is going to be a cake walk, and some are realistic.  Guess which one Brian is.

I don't give a flying fuck if he goes...its just amazing he is looking at this whole thing like walking into a bodybuilding show.   Good for him that he takes a 'prep' exam.  Congrats if he gets accepted.  That means NOTHING until you are actually sitting in a classroom and having to take notes and actually study.  Saying his wife can help with things is also funny.  I was practicing when my ex was in first year.  Some of the shit she was studying I had purged from memory because I would never use it again.  What do you recall about your first year?

Everyone is chasing the huge money and will put in the work to get it. They will also likely work as volunteers in law firms outside of school any hours they can get. Its an easy 100 hours per week in year one

I’m not a lawyer or in the medical field, but SC and Krank’s post reminded me of my brother.

I’ve been doing Ecom since 2010 and I make about a couple hundred grand a year on average in that time from home in a low to mid cost of living area as I moved from the NYC/LI area.

My brother isn’t lazy as Bhank, but his work is a government job.

He saw some YT video and that over simplified what I do for a living and he jumped in and failed at it.

I warned him just like everyone is speaking factually why it is a bad idea now, but my brother didn’t listen and had to face reality eventually.

You think studying and passing the 3  6 hour CFA exams is easy? They are offered once a year and have like a 35% pass rate I passed all 3 first time. I also have a degree in Finance it is not like I don't know how to study.
