Brian - I'm a lawyer - assume you do well on the test in september. You then have to apply and get admitted to a law school. By that time you will not have time to enroll in Spring Semester for 2025 so you at best is in Fall 2025 as a 1L. Assuming all goes well and you don't quit First Year, which requires a monumental amount reading and focus, the earliest you possibly could be a member the Bar would be 2029 since there are months that elapse between graduating 3rd year and taking the bar, and getting the results, and eventual admission to the Bar in order to practice.
End this delusion, its not happening.
Are there pre-requisites for law school? There has been no discussion if all of the prior school is accepted if that is the case. An ex girlfriend went to med school but prior to that she had to update some classes because they were not accepted.
Everything you said is spot on. Its like he thinks this is like picking up strict curl or any other fancy hobby. There are time lines that can not be pushed or moved. I don't know if some law schools work in trimesters, but maybe he could get in for 2nd trimester next year. Maybe the law school is hurting so badly for students that he COULD get in for January. I would assume first year law school is no different than any other 1st year advanced degree. The attrition rate is HIGH. Every hour in classroom is 2 - 3 hours of studying outside. Doesn't leave a lot of time for tricycle riding, arguing with people online, vaping, etc.
I had 4 national board exams during my time at school. The 4th one was given twice a year. If you failed it, you had a small window to get signed up for the next one. Over the years, I have had to sit for 3 state boards as well. Illinois took 3 months to finalize my paperwork. There was no arguing or high pitched voice video for me to rush it along.
Someone just isn't realistic on a timeline.
