So I have gained like 12 pounds and 5 is fat so that means the other 7 is muscle and or glycogen

Starting Monday ima diet on 1500 cals and drop this 5 pounds of bodyfat while holding all the muscle

I haven't even started The ACE yet

Ill run 20 MGS ACE ed with 30 mgs test e ed and 150 drol on big bench day

I'll start the ACE and drol once I finish the halo which will be in bout 3 weeks

Maybe when starting out for the first few years 13-16 they we're not great but they soon started to grow. I do a calves once a week by themselves or with abs and spend a good 45mins on them or so, toe press on leg press, standing barbell and one leg holding 32kg Kettlebell. Limited gym.

If your a fat guy how come you don't have big calves? 6 reps is too low I think, min 10 for me.

They were bigger when I was heavier and real fat of course, but still pathetic. Now I'm so lean they couldn't even put a subq shot in the stomach at hospital, at least that's what they claimed. So they are smaller but real veiny obviously, they're so pathetic I couldn't bring myself to post.

Like I said I've tried all different rep ranges. My idea is that the fast twitch fibers are the ones that can hypertrophy so lower reps is the best bet, and for explosive strength they would be the best obviously. I might do 6 to failure, rest for 45 seconds and do 2-3 more.
I often do a day once weekly with just calves in the gym, because I like the place and don't get much exercise otherwise. I might do 40 minutes, but I might also do, don't laugh, 2 hours with longer rests to accumulate lots of total reps with heavier loads.

Arnold's claims

In his book, Schwarzenegger wrote that he began doing "a thousand pounds on the calf raise machine for dozens of reps. Seven days a week."

Arnold Schwarzenegger was known for training his calves intensely, including using heavy weight on calf raise machines. He reportedly used 1500lbs on standing calf raises, according to his own writing and various fitness publications. He also incorporated donkey calf raises and seated calf raises to target different calf muscles.


I did find one old bad quality pic of when I was at >20% BF but it shows the flat bellies. And also of my current bodyfat.

I gotta say big diamond shaped calves at comp bodyfat are the most mesmerizing bodypart, maybe because I've looked at bodybuilders so much for 40 years so I'm 'damaged' as it were. There's nothing sexual there, no homo, I swear ::) :D

No it doesn't appear to do so. Some bodybuilders, I think even Bob Chic mentioned it, how new-ish 'research' showed that training a muscle more often than once a week didn't expedite muscle growth. In this thread I  mentioned many months ago that I would attempt Basile's DOMS theory on arms by trying to keep them constantly sore. I might have done this for 6 months now. The arms didn't grow, and now lately with my illness they kept shrinking. But strangely until hospital I was adding a rep or two most workouts on things like overhead triceps extensions on the cable cross pulley, I was strapping on 30lbs extra for 20 reps. Must have been some neural magic going on, no other way to explain it. I could barely stand up for a few minutes some days, on account of extreme weight loss, pancreatitis and anemia and etc, but the sets themselves were good ??? Despite some TRT++ I still have anemia and low iron status, have for a few years, can't fucking get it investigated due to the healthcare situation here. Docs say there's systemic problems of getting people treated on time but that for example ICU care is first class; they did save my life a couple of times.

When you post videos of your lifting they are inactivated soon after. Maybe make a YT account, that way you aren't steered off-site, you can see the player on the thread and people are impatient, unless you want them deleted after some minutes... I  might post some exercise variations I find good in my own lifting, unless people are annoyed
