Good paying jobs HAVE been eliminated and outsourced in the neverending search for higher profits.  60-70 years ago, you could support a family of four and own a house, all on a factory jobs income.  No expensive college degree needed.  Nowadays both parents need to work at least one job just to keep a roof over their heads.  Meanwhile the wealthiest Americans are hoarding more wealth than ever.

The end result of AI will be the loss of good-paying jobs and the further concentration of wealth into the 0.1%.  That is, if it ever gets off the ground.  All I’ve seen has been a glorified chatbot.

The Government is 32 trillion in debt. The combined wealth of all the billionaires in the U.S is about 4 trillion, but the problem is so and so not paying their “fair share” and we hear this from a 50 year career politician who never made dime that wasn’t off the taxpayer.

You’re a good guy but you believe the big government BS.

It's bad enough that we're being robbed of writers and actors >:(  but Chief Diversity Officers are getting canned.  :'(  :D

The Rise and Fall of the Chief Diversity Officer:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/chief-diversity-officer-cdo-business-corporations-e110a82f

Companies including Netflix, Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery have recently said that high-profile diversity, equity and inclusion executives will be leaving their jobs. Thousands of diversity-focused workers have been laid off since last year, and some companies are scaling back racial justice commitments.

Diversity, equity and inclusion—or DEI—jobs were put in the crosshairs after many companies started re-examining their executive ranks during the tech sector’s shake out last fall. Some chief diversity officers say their work is facing additional scrutiny since the Supreme Court struck down affirmative action in college admissions and companies brace for potential legal challenges. DEI work has also become a political target. See linked article.

How many times have we heard this rap? From farm equipment to technology, it was all gonna eliminate everyone’s job. Meanwhile, the population has increased 4x in the last 100 years and unemployment is at 3%.

It’s about having a dynamic economy. So when one area of work becomes obsolete, there is somewhere else to go.

Don't believe the Unemployment numbers. They have been fudged for years. 3 percent means only 3 percent of the population is Looking for work and have not found a job that pays a shit. There are a ton of minimum wage jobs but who can support a family and have a good life on that salary? There are not a lot of Good paying jobs left. Meanwhile, half the population in this country is NOT working. A big portion of them is living off the government ie. our tax dollars. As for the farms, the majority of family owned farms have been wiped out by big business who use machines and not people to do the majority of work. Yes the population is increasing especially with the border being wide open. We import 1 million people legally every year into this country. Under Biden, there are an additional 5 million illegals who have been let in since he took office. That doesn't count the getaways they don't know about. We are going to have a big part of our population who will have NO opportunity to work or find work very soon as AI takes hold. Thats why this is different. Once they lose their job from AI, there will be NO where else to go for work. Look at every defunct city to see my point. Detroit used to be the Auto capital of the world. Now, there is nothing there to find a decent living. There are actual miles of blocks of empty houses and apartments. This will happen all across this country in the near future. I hope I am wrong but I don't think I will be.

So, I guess we won’t see the next Godfather remake with Don Corleone as a tranny.😂

Getbiggers have nothing to worry about other than deciding which yacht to buy and where to park it in Monte Carlo.

The breakwater in Monte Carlo is too close to shore for the royal yacht and Getbigger’s yachts.

We won’t be mooring there until modifications are made.

Like Dionne Warwick sang decades ago...

"LA is a great big freeway
Put a hundred down and buy a car
In a week, maybe two, they'll make you a star
Weeks turn into years, how quick they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas"

Great voice she had.

If you work in a office, on a computer, in a store, AI will eventually take your job. It's not whos better. AI will ALWAYS be better in the end. So when the majority of people in this country are out of work because of AI, what then? The world only needs so many drywallers.
I'd like to see AI design a house with construction documents etc., or adding an addition to an existing home renovation. All dimensions have to be relevant, all building codes followed, etc. Not happening soon.

Construction jobs are the few that won't be lost. Almost all office jobs, accounting, consulting, etc, are toast.
