BHank's dad was very wealthy. He sorted him out in his youth, and left a large estate. BHank also had a few successful years as an option trader during the market's boom years. Plus he had a few years of regular decent jobs.
That makes sense.
I'm always flabbergasted when people making relatively large paychecks don't just sock enough away to not have to work. Don't get me started on pro athletes that consistently go broke.
I have a friend who gets paid $93,000 CAD [about $68,000 USD] who is paycheck to paycheck, and currently up to her eyeballs in all types of debt. On top of this, she gets free dental care being Status Indigenous in Canada. On top of bucketloads of other free money Feather Indians get in Canada.
The East Indians I've met so far ALL stink, and I have no idea why that is.
For myself, I've calculated I could be comfortable for 50 years with $565,000 USD cash, and just spending out of it. NOT making 5% that the GIC's pay - I mean just spending it until it's gone, while it earns $0 interest.
I know people who could have that kind of money banked in 7-11 years, yet have no money.
I know a couple of lawyers here with no money. It's pathetic.
There are a couple of respectable qualities about B. Hank: he posts his actual pics/videos, and if he has actually managed to manage any money he has earned or been given, that is admirable.
A LOT of people manage to mess that up. So good on him for not doing that.
I guess everyone else just enjoy being broke...and don't want to retire early.
