What were your max bench/squat/deadlift, illuminati?
I understand you were a British national champion at one point.
One thing I want to point out about my lifts: good form does not matter in Strongman - we lift things up and put them back down. It's rather simple. It's just heavy, awkward implements with an athletic component.
It's not in my biology to be a refined powerlifter. I'm more of a gym brawler. But I have some power.
My best lifts poundages
405bs incline bench x 5
490lbs + flat bench
300lbs + seated behind neck press with Olympic bar
More on asmith machine
425lbs full depth front squat ×5
500lbs + for 8-10 reps back squats & deadlifts
600lb single rep deadlift - not a strong movement for me
Db single arm row 155lbs x 15+ reps- was heaviest Dbs we had.
Same weight for seated Db shoulder press 8/10 reps
BB bent over rows palms forward 400lbs not very good form
& only 5/6 reps
BB tricep extensions 200lbs 8/10 reps
All at a very lean bodyweight of around 210lbs
Those were training weights - Notice the WERE as I can't handle
Them kind of poundages now at 63 worse fucking luck
Aging is a bastard. 🤬🤬🤬 😢
