I had no idea you didn't start competing until your forties, wes! Wow - good outcome for having started at a later age than the norm.

I remember one of the IFBB pro diet coaches told me when Troy Alves still won a show as late as 2013 [almost 47 years old - the Orlando Pro in the 212-lb class] that Troy could have put about 10- to 15-lb more muscle, but made a conscious choice not to, for health reasons.

I figured you may have also made a similar choice, and didn't push it, just as Troy made that choice.

Frank doesn't seem to be concerned about risks, and I'm worried he won't be around much longer if he keeps doing this.  :(

He started competing in his 40s in the 155lb division think about it not exactly an open heavyweight his trophies mean nothing

Screw that response, lots of solid Masters competitors who started late. And, on average, by that age they have more self-protective instincts compared to the guys in their twenties.

And Wes wasn't one of them. He competed in local shows in the over 40 under 155lb division then went to nationals and got beat up. He is also not 5 foot 2. His legs make mine look massive. Just like Jeff he has a bunch of trophies because he did a bunch of shit shows in the munchkin division. However trophies do not make the physique. They are both fake as fuck they have 100 trophies each and no muscle.

As far as this Board goes, there may be a handfull who are national level or professionals here (a few) but a much larger do the local “shit shows” as you put it. So in leveling this specific criticism, you are aiming straight at this Board’s membership, the many here who actually compete. They don’t necessarily see themselves as Cutler or Heath or Ramy, but their state or local level trophies are in no way meaningless. And are you professional, Mr. Hank?

Isn't wes 5'8"?

Apparently we lose 1cm every 10 years starting at age 40. So presumably, a man could lose about one inch by age 65.

Regarding which bodybuilding shows matter and which don't - Frank McGrath competed in the Mr. Olympia contest, which is the pinnacle of bodybuilding contests. But were his choices better than those of wes, given where he is now?

I think there are more important things than competing in the highest prestige shows, especially if they come with massive health risks. Not to suggest anyone could be at that level, but some people consciously choose to keep their body weight in the optimal health range.

Couldn't wes have just ran mega-cycles if he wanted to add more size? I assume he made the conscious choice to maintain a lower body weight and not mega-dose, whereas Frank McGrath and others did the opposite.

I did over 60 contests......here are some of the shittier ones listed.

Trophies mean nothing, but if I recall correctly I have 57 of  them and another guy who posts  here who has tried many times to win even one trophy has always ended up winning ZERO.

I mean they must mean something to the aforementioned person or why would he keep trying to win ONE............. yet still has failed to even place?

You have finished Dead Fucking Last (DFL) in every show you have entered.

You have no trophies.

Six weeks off the drugs completely and you would have no muscle.

In a year you will have no wife and half your current assets.

Your complete detachment from reality is a sign of mental illness.

His story changes to suit the discussion at hand.

Hankins tries to inflate his accomplishments by criticizing the accomplishments of others.

Untether from his bullshit and he will lack the attention he craves to survive here.

Powerful & classic looking build. Master poser as well.

Great resume, Tim!

B. Hank made it a point to tell me "There is no 160-lb Strongman", just to diminish what I do.

Specifically, I competed in u-200-lb Strongman contests, and the CAASA organization in Canada started an 80-kg [176.4-lb] class in 2016.

B. Hank called it "160-lb Strongman" just to diminish it. Yes, there is no 160-lb Strongman, but there IS a 176.4-lb class [lightweight], and guys like Tommy Lynn Lovell and Benjamin Donin are strong as hell, and would beat B. Hank at any lift - even if he was at his heaviest weight of 238.6-lb.

That's why I made it a point to publicly challenge him. I would do it giving him a 30-lb weight advantage on me too. Heck...I might even say 50-lb, but I'd be absolutely confident being 190 versus B. Hank's 220.

What I don't understand is:
Can't people throw B. Hank the same shade he has thrown you and I?

Why are HIS contests so special? Couldn't we say "B. Hank hasn't competed in the NPC Nationals, so he isn't a REAL bodybuilder."

?

IMO, some people just prefer not pushing the heavy gear and calories. Bodybuilding [and Strongman/powerlifting] are not exactly healthy ventures at the elite level. And even if you become an IFBB pro, only the Top 10 are making serious money!

Not sure why he judges people for not wanting to do that.

That's why I was wondering if part of your thought process/mindset was health. Presumably you made a conscious decision not to mega-dose gear like Frank McGrath and others did.

Nothing wrong with that. IMO, you made the RIGHT call.

Like I said - I don't envy you there, because bodybuilding is subjective. I'm lucky because for my challenge against him, I just had to put more weight on the bar than B. Hank put on it. Which I did.  ;D

I don't understand B. Hank's deal to judge and diminish what you have done.

That’s the thing with bhanky, he thinks bbing is all about having mass on top of mass , that’s it. Disregards balance, symmetry

If you are not a heavyweight bber you are nothing in his eyes, typical gym bro mentality

He himself is a natural skinny twink, that’s why he looks up to guys like sam and dick Walker, they are something he is not , who he wishes he was
