I will never understand how Dickerson won an Olympia.  "DickUpHisArseson", LOLOLOLOL! ;D

Agreed - complete mystery how he ever won that Olympia
That & Franco winning 81 worst 2 judging results ever.

And I liked Franco, only he was far from the best that night.

Yup.  I think Padilla beat  him with ease and should have won that in '81  and again in '82.  I don't care if someone is "short" so long as their build is "maessthetic" with excellent symmetry and definition. Padilla was ripped off again.

The first time he was denied was when he was dropped from competition at the '75 Universe so that Waller and Katz could have their little story line for "Pumping Iron".  Padilla's physique is a miniaturized version of Arnold.  He is an all time great!

He had a high wide V shaped chest. I'm sure that came from doing dips. I saw a picture once and he looked like he was doing the chin on chest Gironda dips.

He was amazing but everyone can be criticized, in Bob's case it was the slightly wide hips. Plus a very balanced physique can look boring, ala Chris Cormier. Sometimes a more unbalancedd physiquee looks more eye catching and dramatic, e.g. Flex Wheeler, or Priest. Overdeveloped arms vs torso can look great. Narrowish shoulders can look great too.

narrow shoulders make your arms look biggr than they are

broad shoulders make your arms look smaller than they are, and i have broad shoulders so my arms look smaller than they are

shit sucks

I could have seen it going either way (Bob or Rory) for the heavyweight class in 1993

Both looked great and both were great posers (which unfortunately doesn't matter anymore)

If anything jumps out at you on a bodybuilder thats called a flaw but judges tend to reward eyecatching physiques

When Paris walked out onstage nothing jumped out at you, thats symmetry

nailed it.

on paper, paris is the closest to an 'ideal' form that bodybuilding has produced.

his frame (of adequate stature) as a whole, and individual parts, r structured correctly and evenly muscled.

he had the best tools to work with from head to toe... that is to say - the least amount of flaws

that is not to say, tho, that he should have beaten any particular guy, at any given point in time.. but he could have.

potential unrealized.

1985 Mr Olympia. Paris is not flexing at all. Totally relaxed. In the third pic he is tensing his abs.

They are small though.

compared to a bb yep, you need at least 17 inchers not to be small compared to them

but for my bodywieght not really, in fact i have added a full 1/2 inch to them over the past 6 days and they are now 15 3/4 inches which isn't small for someone who only weighes 162 pounds

15 3/4 is small for a 190 pound man but not for a 160 pound man

on purpose or just by accident?
