His shape, his height, and his shoulder width made him stand out in the line-up. His muscles still looked “fresh” (unlike Gaspari). It would’ve been interesting to see him in a callout with Yates that year.

I think so too. He was always the bodybuilder I used to think of as being 'perfect' but then i saw these comparison shots with Labrada and Benfatto and was surprised at how much more balanced Labrada looked. Not a diss on Paris at all - but Labrada had better symmetry. Paris' long back/torso stood out in this comparison.

He looks fit & well. always liked him as he was humble & polite in interviews, definitely one of the more intelligent bodybuilders of that era.

Yes a polite role model type guy who had the wisdom to hang up the trunks. But a funny personal reaction on my end about his physique: something boring about the package -  perfect Lego pieces put together with not a lot of personality (just me probably on this)

I feel the same way. No wow factor. They say he is the modern day Steve Reeves but I don't see that.

no one will look like Reeves but Bob paris had a wow factor for me at least. He had the Looks & a great physique which although bigger than Reeves looked (for me) in proportion. Mass with class.  Just perfect .

saw Paris in seminar in 1989 15th April, same day as Hillsbrough, it was on the radio when we travelling to Sheffield.

Guy was huge, in clothes he looked great, not like some fucking moron.

He was in great shape that year

Very inspirational individual. too bad he disappeared completely from the bodybuilding scene


You can hardly find anything online from someone as marketable as he was .
