I am not sure you got it. I cannot prove this, but my guess is there a lot of folks who did not know about him before he was murdered. Yes I follow politics, but it is a very small part of my life.

No one who follows politics would have no idea who Charlie Kirk was, unless you get your news from leftist media outlets who create safe spaces for their audience by shielding them from opposing viewpoints. 

Charlie Kirk wasn't just some "right-wing" pundit.  He was a transformational figure in American politics.  His impact on the 2024 election was enormous.  And he was brilliant.  The fact you had never heard of him really does speak volumes about how insulated you are.  And just to be clear, I don't care one bit if you live in a bubble.  Everyone has the right to consume whatever media they want.  But living in a bubble does make you misinformed and uninformed.  I just call things as I see them.

But you could answer the second sentence if you took the time to follow the folks I've sent you, watch the movie, etc....

You would then have and informed opinion on things backed up by real facts, and know where to go when you want the truth.

It takes some work, yes.  But it's better than mindlessly passing on information.   That's a big part of what's led to the recent political violence - sheep doing what they're told and what to believe.  There are literally 1000s of videos of folks protesting Kirk at college campuses, calling him fascist, nazi, hateful, and a white supremecist, but then being completely unable to provide examples of any of that.  Well, guess, what, someone believed it enough to kill him.  It should be a wake up call for folks doing what you're doing to change their behavior.

There are references to Charlie Kirk on this board going back to 2018.  The most recent before his murder is this:

Charlie Kirk would be good, but I'd rather see him in the field.  He is as responsible as anyone for the election results. 

It's probably going to be someone we're not even thinking about.

The fact no one you associate with ever mentioned Charlie Kirk is not surprising.  You probably associate with people with similar views, who get their news the same way you do.  That doesn't make you weird or a bad person.  There are plenty of people like you.  My wife had never heard of Charlie Kirk before he was murdered, but she doesn't follow politics, other than trying not to fall asleep whenever I start ranting about something. 

BTW, she started watching a bunch of Charlie Kirk clips after his murder said she thought he was a really nice person who was very funny and smart.  She is right.
