I bet she cringes when any of her work colleagues or friends ask what Brians up to..

I wonder what people say behind her back about him.

Has he stated if he is on disability?  With all of his claimed medical ailments and physical limitations it may be possible.

There isn't much in the way of 4-5 year old organized sports.  You are reaching here.

Grape where are you at?

In SoCal these parents act like your child has no chance of being good at anything if they aren’t enrolled in a sport /activity at 4. It doesn’t matter if it’s tball, soccer, basketball, dance, gymnastics, martial arts;flag football even. It’s a very weird mindset.

New England.

I have been through the journey of coaching youth sports, from T-Ball all the way through to coaching AAU and conversing with college scouts about recruitment.  So I have seen it all.

I do agree with you that that type of lunacy exists, for sure.  I can't tell you how many people think because their 3-4 year old kid hits a few shots with the fat plastic blue baseball bat that their kid "is going to be great"....LOL. But I don't see leveling criticism at a parent for NOT enrolling them in this stuff at age four as legitimate.  Unrelated, but if California liberal parents are all for something, it's probably wrong as well.

And it vaires - at 4, they can likely have some fun at dance (been through that journey too), gymnastics, martial arts, etc......but baseball/basketball/soccer at that age is useless, and I don't think they get anything out of it terms of development.

While the recumbent bike is the epitome of the lazy fuck gaybo version of biking, I have no issue with anything that gets adults doing 45-60 min of low impact cardio a day.

I run 3-5 miles a couple times a week, and a recumbent couch bike would probably accomplish the same thing for me, with out feeling like shit on my knees and stuff.

I don't think so.

I will gladly sacrifice my knees and achilles to retain my dignity.

If I get a bike, it's going to be an off road one for the state park near me.

Anyway I am taking a 30 day break to focus on my show my stress levels are way to fucking high for 5am

209/140 x 113?

You are literally at hypertensive crisis readings. At this point taking 30 days off isn’t enough. No exaggeration you’re at the point of dropping dead at any given moment. Get your ass to the ER

It would win a show of shit like the Charlotte Cup

You have done nothing different since the cup yet you think you have improved

You still wont acknowledge you need to diet to look better.

In 30 days we will all laugh again when you turn around and show your sloppy legs

I am in mad shape and you know it. You are going to say I look like shor even after I win. As if I don’t know that. It’s just going to make you look like more of a hater if that is possible. I am clearly closer to 5% than 10% and you want to pretend I am not in shape ok Hater

Exactly these fucking morons don’t ride because they are old and beat up but want to talk shit on someone for figuring out a way to ride everyday

I ride the recumbent stationary inside and at gyms the last 20 years no one has a problem with that. I get one that goes outside and it’s lazy and gay?

Good take.

I should have clarified I wasn’t saying Hankins should have been criticized for the lack of sports, but I do know many parents who think participation in these activities are “vital” to their development, and they really believe it.

I was talking to a mother recently who has her 8 year old daughter in  BJJ and I asked when she started and she said her daughter enrolled when she was 5 but she should have started her sooner. I literally laughed out loud and asked how much sooner could she have started, and she said we have 3 years actively participating and it is giving them a step up….. I’m sure this is more of a Californian thought process but people with kids can be lunatics with everything.

Science is clear, if your child is not socially competant at 3 you are fucked, you missed the boat, they will have problems interacting with others for the rest of their life, and its not curable.

That's so funny.  While it's become necessary to specialize if you want to be the best at ages 11-12, parents have literally zero idea how big a leap kids take (or don't) once they hit high school.  The physical size and strength are the driving factors to who gets the opportunity to play beyond that level.  Nothing they did at age 8-12 makes a fucking difference, other than if it develops a love of the sport.
