You know, the funny thing is....

Mentzer looked great in 77, 78, 79.... he had an awesome,  powerful physique. In fact Arnold's Education of a Bodybuilder was the reason I started lifting at 13 / 14 years old until my mid 20's but then I quit for s long time until my late 40's when I came across a thread of Mike mentzer pictures and saw his most muscular shot on muscle rock, I was so motivated I began lifting again and haven't stopped since

I started again by using his training methods (since it was his phpho that inspired me) but I quickly found that he didn't build his physique with those methods and those methods don't work! I switched to a more conventional volume workout,  which not inly worked but was more fun.

The worst thing about mentzer is his annoying fans who loved repeating everything he says, while not making any progress!

Bingo. 5 decades of hit and it still has a very dismal success rate.

I think a lot of the results from hit comes from the de-fatiguing from the high volume routine prior, I got caught up in this and wasted years switching from Arnold style routines to Stuart mcRobert “hardgainer” shit initially grew and thought I’d found the holy grail and stuck with the shit for years, just switching from 1 set to 3 was a big difference then to a more moderate volume 8-12 sets per body part finally found out what worked. 1set to failure per
Body part has shown in studies to just about maintain gains that’s it. Plus who the fuck wants to do 1 working set per body part a week ffs

casey told me he had to do high sets for shows to get that polished look he said arnold helped him alot as far as contest training goes. but casey had nothing but good things to say about mike and arnold casey was way more level headed

Casey seemed cool as hell. Just a mellow dude. One of those interviews on the bodybuilding legends show, I think it might've been Boyer Coe, said Casey loved recreational drugs. Liked to party, liked to get high.

If you are increasing your training loads to greater and greater numbers which I am currently doing, then yep you can eat just a little bit more coz that is the true signal for muscle hypertrophy not increased calories

And get this

You only need to increase your calories slightly like maybe 100 calories over maintenance and if you increase it more than that yep you'll add muscle but you will also and fat so fuck that noise!

Get this one pound of muscle tissue only has 600 calories so if you gain a pound of muscle a week you only need 600 extra calories over the entire week to add it, that's basically less than 100 calories a day

Are you daft do you think it is the same 210lbs do you think it looks the same? Also, so what I was lifting weights 2 hours a day 6 days a week at 20 it was my life. The fact that I am anywhere near comparable at 46 years old is amazing. Write whatever nonsense you want you don't look like this DJ does not look like this. I may be 208lbs but I am also single digit bodyfat and vascular with 18.5 inch arms I also have tight abs go ahead zoom in you can see veins on my sides and everywhere else shoulders, chest, arms, legs, traps, you name it you can see vascularity in it. You are nowhere near my level and everyone knows it you just want to argue with me instead of actually trying to help DJ.

The guy is clearly suffering from anorexia amongst other issues and this fucking board just wants to tell him he looks great and encourage him to try and get a 26 inch waist and take more gear and train harder while eating less. Is anyone planning to go to his funeral?
