A general practice attorney is lucky if he makes 90K. The guy doing house closings, wills and drunk drivers in municipal court isn't making that much. Plus he has to work night municipal court hours.
Lawyers that are certified trial lawyers and work law suits and specialist lawyers are making a mint.
I'm not sure about your closings argument.
Guy I graduated college with went into law specializing in closings. At one point, he was doing 20-30 a week at only $500 a pop. It translated to easily over 500k per year, and that was the early 2000s.
Obviously it's market/economy dependent, but still.
