Long explanation but a couple of highlights. Part of it is definitely a reaction to Trump, I just cannot stand him. But basically I am more Democrat than Republican on a lot of issues (economic fairness, robust rather than isolationist foreign policy, environmental, pro-choice and liberal on social issues. But I am way more Republican in two areas that relate to the rule of law: 1) immigration 2) support for law enforcement and a belief that consequences matter.
That's fair. I think most people in this country are not fully represented by either party.
My biggest concern for Harris is that I think she will be viewed as weak in the world, and I think that will lead to consequences globally. The ultimate fear being the draft gets reinstated due to escalation in Ukraine in the Middle East, and my/our kids are led to war by a complete idiot.
In addition, she's part of one of the biggest coverup and lies to the American public, covering up Biden's real condition until it became legitimately impossible to do so. Then, to make it worse, Democracy was again bypassed by her anointment - she's the candidate NOBODY voted for.
She literally has no record to run on.
This comes from someone who is not a big Trump guy, but doesn't get all bent out of shape by his BS. I legit think the first thing he will do is broker a settlement with Ukraine and Russia. I don't care if it's purely ego driven, but he will do it.
Then he'll close the border for sure, which is absolutely necessary.
Not really concerned about much else right now.
