I played in a band with a drummer who would get so worked up for a show he nearly couldn't play. He'd practice for hours on end a day or two before the show and show up to the gig covered in Ben Gay from being sore. Then invariably start dropping sticks and fucking songs up. It was unreal.

Some sort of diuretic.

With the amount of shit food he eats, there is no way he is cramping up that hard unless he's on a large amount of them.

You don't cramp up from being too lean, you cramp up from lack of water and proper electrolyte balance. Which is easy to do if you overdose on diuretics and/or have no idea how to use them.
