The problem with Yates' gut is that he had waist issues from all angles. With Coleman it was only from the side, which is why the same shot is posted over and over again:
Yates had:
-Side gut problem, like Coleman.
In addition to:
-Wide waist-ruined front shots. Coleman didn't have this problem.
-Less size to offset the waist = even less taper.
-Structurally less impressive-shoulders weren't wide enough to help compensate for the waist.
Amounts to less taper from the front, with the same side-gut issues. Coleman only had the side shot problem and had a lot more size to begin with.
