The problem with Yates' gut is that he had waist issues from all angles. With Coleman it was only from the side, which is why the same shot is posted over and over again:

Yates had:

-Side gut problem, like Coleman.

In addition to:

-Wide waist-ruined front shots. Coleman didn't have this problem.

-Less size to offset the waist = even less taper.

-Structurally less impressive-shoulders weren't wide enough to help compensate for the waist.


Amounts to less taper from the front, with the same side-gut issues. Coleman only had the side shot problem and had a lot more size to begin with.

Well then you havent' been paying attention...ohhh about 150 pages ago my good friend pumpster and I went at it about the virtues of Mr. Haney's wins which were according to my buddy all part of a big conspiricy which continued on through the Dorian years.  Apparently Joe Wieder figured a black guy-I'm not racist, it's just a fact that there were white guys that were more marketable than lee was, like Labrada and even guys that could appeal to the general public more, like Bob Paris, Gary strydom or Berry demay.....hmmm...wonder why joe wouldn't have had them winning shows left and right..but why do that when you can have an unknown british guy that's far from the best marketing tool for bodybuilding so he manipulated the shows so they kept on winning cause they are just so marketable.  I mean gosh, a guy like Lee Labrada who is incredibly marketable or even shawn ray who is incredibly marketable don't make any sense...according to certain people it's better to give an unknown british guy the title even when he's b-tier...just cause he can make Joe more money than anyone else.....

This is not to suggest that I don't think that certain shows might have had pre determined outcomes...either I say that or pumpster accuses me of being niave.  What I'd like to know is if Joe is so smart...I mean he pretty much made the sport...why wouldn't he have the most marketable guys win?  No one seems to be able to answer that.

ND can't come up with shots and videos that show dorian looking better than a peak Ronnie so he just resorts to quotes and dismisses all the comments about Ronnie's far superior shape detail and vascularity (and taper) as "opinion".

well guess what: if you are sticking to how contests are judged, it is not opinion.

It is fact if you apply the concepts of modern judging:

The physique with better shape detail vascularity and taper is the better looking physique.

That is the way that it works in bodybuilding.
 
You can't look at a black picture and claim that saying it is black is just a matter of opinion because you don't like the colour black.

It doesn't work like that.

The overwhelming peak Ronnie evidence is the same: if you value judging criteria of detail size vascularity and taper, you will say that Ronnie is better.

You may not like it, but thats life.

If you choose not to adhere to these criteria, well then you can say that dorian is better.

But you are not judging the physiques in terms of how bodybuilding is judged.

You are doing something different.




if you apply judging criteria properly, saying that Ronnie is better is NOT opinion. It is fact. 

If you chose not to apply the criteria, then you can say whatever you want and for whatever reason.

but you not judging bodybuilding anymore.
