Wheeler's waist was much smaller but Coleman didn't have a gut issue then-his waist was still proportionally smaller than Wheeler's in relation to shoulder width, resulting in a marketdly better V.

Coleman did have a gut in 01....that cannot be denied. He had a gut in 99, 2000, and 2001 mr. olympia. Do you think it magically went away?

I hope you're not suggesting that it was the same size 6-7 years ago. His waist was both under control and a significant contribution to a much better taper than Wheeler.

Coleman's gut is nowhere near what it was in 2003, but regardless, he had a gut, and in my opinion having a gut is not what my ideal bodybuilder represents. Flex had no gut, a tiny waist, a great taper, striated quads, perfectly shaped abs, amazing back detail, christmas tree, and on and on. Coleman looked GREAT at the 01 ASC, but the reality of having a gut just blows it for me.

Those pics show once again that that Coleman was bigger everywhere, so a bigger waist is moot. Wheeler's lat deficiency becomes obvious, shows clearly that even with that waist his taper can't compete.

The difference in lat width is striking, actually. So is the difference in quad size as well as size in most other areas.

Whos Ronnie dominating? in 94 Ronnie was lost in the feild . and you Einstiens keep referring to Coleman 99 as " pre-gut " Ronnie when in fact he had a nice gut . so before you break your arm patting yourself on the back that picture was intended to prove that 99 was not pre-gut and guess what it worked .
