only someone ignorant of bodybuilding standards would ever say that Dorian has better overall shape than Ronnie, especially in the major extremedies, such as arms and legs.
(and overall taper)
I don't see how this can be debated: Dorian was a mass monster not known for his shape.
Peak Ronnie was referred to as a "blown up version of Flex wheeler" back in the day. He was known for his shape. Just because that all went to hell in the last few years of his career does not change this fact.
you don't need to be emperical to see that Dorian was never this shapely.
ronnie has better shape than dorian. much better.
but when will you realize that shape isnt that important. that's reality and if you dont like it, then write a letter to the judges.
shape has virtually nothing to do with muscualrity. i've seen tons of powerlifters that have decent shape (round shoulders, biceps, etc.) but bc they have no definition or any sort of condition, they are not considered muscular.
if shape mattered as much as you say then yates would have never have won, flex would have beaten ronnie, and dexter would be mr. olympia right now with melvin being runner-up every year.
the reason melvin is doing well these past few years is bc his conditioning has improved. his shape has been the same since he won his pro card and you konw how shitty he did when he had just shape and nothing else.
ronnie known as a 'blown up flex wheeler'? maybe. flex has a MUCH better structure than dorian, and especially, especially ronnie. he actually has a full length torso and not a shitty four pack.
but it doesnt matter. dorian not only beat flex, he dominated him. dominated with size AND conditioning (which is the most important factor in judging a winner). dorian beat flex so bad, that he forced flex to drop out of the Olympia claiming some ridiculous story (ninjas). dorian would beat coleman the same fashion - it would just be much closer.
