Should we be responsible for paying other people's medical bills now? The problem with medical for all is it reduces the level of care. No one works for free.I just paid thousands for my pec surgery yesterday out of pocket. It was not cheap. Should other getbig members have paid for it? Do we want socialized health care? By having for profit health care we have the option of paying for better service. I also booked a flight and booked economy that is what socialized health care would get you basic economy and an advil. You want first class with whiskey with a brand new tendon taken from an incarcerated Chinese dissident you got to pay.
Solid rides and garage floor
This guy can really relate you and your cosmetic surgery and your inheritance.
Not cosmetic and spent my inheritance a long time ago have made and lost several fortunes since
I'm sure this makes him feel better.
It might… if it prompts him to think differently about what is possible. I still watch in amazement when I see friends get paid on Friday and by Monday or Tuesday they are broke again. They always have the latest shoes, clothes, truck upgrades, tattoos, smart watch, and paying for a storage locker somewhere, etc, but they do not have money for a downpayment. And they don’t understand how I can own three rentals. You have to set goals for yourself and be disciplined about realizing them. Presumably you all do this in the gym; you can do it with your finances as well. My next goal is to buy a small apartment building (4-10 units) somewhere (LoopNet.com is your friend). It’s great revenue and super for tax write offs.I was scouting a few prospects a couple months ago… but will likely wait until next year to pull the trigger. Call me Mr. Roper.
Yeah, I'm going out on a limb and thinking the 8 post gimmick who chose this venue to lament his financial situation isn't going to transform into a disciplined, fiscally savvy investor based on your post.
No. But someone else might. I am sure he is not the only person wondering about a better path forward in uncertain times. Most people are just a couple checks away from insolvency. How long could you go without a paycheck before your life became very uncomfortable? That’s a question worth thinking about… especially if it prompts you to make better decisions… today.
Due to several medical expenses with my wife, even with insurance, I’m basically living paycheck to paycheck now. I don’t even have enough to pay a $10 copay at the dentist tomorrow (I get paid Thursday… actually Friday, but my bank makes the funds available a day early). This sucks, and I just wanted to vent.
Nobody's here looking for wisdom to get their lives in order.I don't disagree with anything you said, but it is what it is - you saw an opening to show people your stuff and took it.
Start looking… 👀
It does suck. Your goal as working person should be to put yourself into a position where you are sustainable even when things go sideways. This requires some planning, but it is doable. The last time I left a job (my supervisor retired so I left; a common thing in my industry) I had no financial worries. I had set plenty of money aside and most importantly, I had income from rental properties I acquired in prior years. My two vehicles were already paid off… and my rental income was more than enough to pay my bills and keep me afloat until I started a new position.
Didn't you say you wanted it it look good and help with function?
Exactly setting short, mid, and long term, goals is how things get accomplished not everything happens in a week some changes take time and suffering, research and discipline and not all work out.

All financial worries can be solved by foregoing your daily Starbucks latte.
I hope Grape sees this, rereads it and heeds your wisdom. He needs it the most yet refuses to listen to self-made financial greats like Bay. He’s a stubborn brute that needs to change his life around.
Upon further review, Rambone, if you remove the cock caressing, taint tonguing, foreskin fondling, scrotum sniffing, business boasting, and blackery, Bay and I probably have more similarities than differences.
