Straight Bar Dips

apart from training for "muscle ups" ..can anyone see another advantage over Parallel Bar dips ?

I can only really remember doing such movements in real life on an assault course but yes very useful

Shorter range of motion & it might be hard if having shoulder issues.

Straight bar dips feel more intense in that area compared to parallel bars. I’ve tried them a few times and noticed they hit the chest a bit differently, too, kind of like a hybrid between a dip and a deep push-up. That link was helpful, even with the German, pretty easy to follow along. I could see them being a good variation to throw in now and then, especially for upper body control.
