Good luck, Wes. Question: does it bother you when they schedule surgeries weeks away instead of getting it over with quickly?

Usually my only calorie intake. I'm cutting right now, coming off a mini bulk.

It's all about calories in vs calories out

Have you heard of the sugar diet?

This powerlifting coach, Jim Wendler, recommends 500 grams of red meat and 10 eggs a day as a main dietary goal. I'd like to do that but appetite is always a problem :-\

Anyone ever lose their sense of taste almost completely? I lost it almost 2 months ago. Anyone know if there's anything to do about it? I suspect I've had covid again, but regardless this is absolutely terrible. I'm hungry but losing sense of taste is a big loss :'(

I stay between 18-2100 calories. Carbs usually around 50-100 the rest in protein and a little fat. Proteins and carbs are weighed but overall calories are tracked. Not because of necessity but because of habit. Been doing it this was for years.

Tried the carnivore for shits and giggles for about 2 months, of course I dropped weight but felt like shit, workouts sucked because it’s glycogen draining.

i felt fine while doing it, few days with no carbs was hard after eating them for so long but my body adapted, you still get a good pump if you keep your salt intake up

i have no trouble training on carbs or zero carbs, in fact i dont notice the difference

Drink a bouillon cube before lifting. Or some sodium bicarbonate, maybe 4 grams. Been doing the bicarb for years, seems to boost performance slightly. Helps workout recovery also.

This could reduce stomach acid and lead to digestion inefficiency.

Worth keeping in mind, especially if you are noticing any differences.

Eggs and meat for breakfast
Low carb protein shake in afternoon
Meat and veggie for dinner
Mixed nuts after dinner

Cheat with carbs on weekend.

I started eating like this when I weighed 220 about 3 years ago.
Used to be mesomorph at 225 (early 20s)  but saw a pic from 3-4 year ago and I was fat with a gut.
Now I weigh 195.
Height 6'1.5"

How the fuck can you keep cals so low and not lose weight  ???

If I go under 2300 I'll lose fucking weight and I only weigh a buck 58

Yeah I always keep these little effervecent bicarb pouches on hand in case of heartburn. But yes over time it my be counterproductive but for immediate relief nothing beats it for me. Haven't gotten around to trying the betaine HCL yet. Thorne has it one formula with porcine pancreatic extract for digestion, which I've been taking separately after my pancreatitis.

They have great Asian restaurants in Houston...  As a funny aside... Asian cuisine has been adopted by the local Latino population and they have made it their own.  Every Teppanyaki chef you see in Houston is a Latino.
