Yeah, the piracy really was a predictable outcome of a collapsed state and mass foreign exploitation of their waters. As initial ransoms were paid (and they were huge), and vessels start to take protective measures, the stakes were raised and everything became more violent. When you have extreme poverty, widespread corruption, a complete lack of international assistance and thousands of unemployed young men who have access to weapons, you get that.

How do you suppose you address the importation of "extreme" immigrants coming in from islamic countries vs the "good" immigrants?
It's the old "if you have a bowl of M&Ms and I tell you they are all poisoned except for a small few" how many are you going to eat? Probably none right? Not wanting to be associated with certain groups or types of people is not bad, it's self preservation. It's also not racist to point out these differences between groups of people, their morals and standards in different areas around the world.

which African culture we are referring to. I was simply making a factual point: it's a massive continent. And as the quotes should demonstrate, he wasn't even speaking any truth; it was just a short clip of a typically rude and annoying Chinese gimp clinging to a deluded sense of superiority while ranting about some lazy unskilled laborers from a post-colonial developing country. This clip should not lead to Donny or others coming to any conclusions about Africa as a whole – that's all I said.

I'm hesitant to write pages of my usual ramblings and bore everyone, but I hope it is obvious that I'm not some mass-immigration supporting cultural relativist with a Panglossian belief in the 'inherent goodness' of man. I fucking hate everyone – I hate our entire species – but truth matters to me, and attempting to be intellectually honest matters to me, so I won't just go along with regurgitating fictions because they sound good.
To be brief, I think genetic differences between humans are really quite superficial, so
all that matters are our ethical standards, and it is vital that we condemn certain political/religious groups and behaviors. How we balance that in a modern, globalized world is tricky, and with regards to migration I'll just say that we obviously need to distinguish between legal and illegal migration, and we also need to be cognizant of the fact that people are tribal in nature, so bringing in large groups from very different cultures and expecting that everyone will just assimilate and live happily within a generation or two is short-sighted and dangerous.
On that, though, I think that 38's points are also correct in that many people here in the UK now are just willingly swallowing far-right and Israeli bullshit without questioning it. The threats from certain groups
are being exaggerated for political reasons, and it will ultimately only benefit a class who could not give a shit about working people.
