As many of us (now) know, beyond the glossy magazines, bodybuilding is an ugly sport.  There is often an extreme lifestyle behind that extreme physique and most families are better off not knowing the details.  Why go there?

Holding on to memories and photos makes a lot of sense, but digging for details does not.  Come to think of it, I can recall at least two other episodes of family members trolling internet sites only to be upset by what they learned: junior was on drugs, junior was a male prostitute, junior owed people money, etc.  What exactly are these trolling family members expecting to find?  That junior was secretly a Nobel Prize winner or stealthily writing the Ninth Symphony?  Grieving families should grieve in private.  If one looks for trouble, chances are you will find it.

Google Eric Otero and this thread pops up. I wanted to see what his "friends" had to say about him. I am now 18 years old and yes it has been over 12 years since his passing. I wasn't privileged enough to get to know him as well as the rest of my family, being that I was very young when he passed. I'm not saying anyone is a saint but the fact that you people think you even get to have an opinion on what OUR FAMILY should and should not know or that we should look him up? FUCK YOU. Here I am, 7 years later, looking him up again seeing how disgusting those of you are to talk to a child like that ESPECIALLY Eric's niece. If you didn't my uncle you never should've posted on this thread. If you didn't know him well enough to know he would've ever tolerated disrespect towards his family, neither should you. Nothing bout this is a prank or a joke. I pray that those of you who have kids and nieces never have to be disrespected the way I was at 11 years old by my uncle's self proclaimed "friends." I don't consider looking up my uncle as an 11 year old trolling, but thanks so much for your half witted opinions. I can't wait for your children or you children's children to look you up trying to learn more about you and to see what a fucking prick you actually are.
