Bodybuilders are NOTHING in the grand scheme of things. You are not a superior or enlightened person because you compete in bodybuilding contests. The notion that bodybuilders are more "interesting or exciting" than people who raise families and make a living in the real world is simply laughable. To most people, you are just a self-absorbed bum who hangs around the gym all day and takes steroids.

Bonjour à tous, je me présente je suis la fille d'Edouard KAWAK, Cindy...
...je tiens à dire que bien évidement cet évènement m'a bouleversé moi aussi...
c'était en effet un sportif admirable, une personne très appréciée, un ami pour beaucoup mais avant tout un père...un papa que j'aime même si je ne lui est peut-être pas assez dit...qui va énormément me manquer...et à qui je pense beaucoup...

En ce qui me concerne, je ne suis donc pas contre cet hommage, bien au contraire ! Et je pense que le reste de la famille sera du même avis...mais il faut malgré tout demander l'autorisation de la personne qui pourra sans doute le plus répondre a vos questions : mon tonton, son frère, Joseph KAWAK qui est actuellement au Liban...
Ça me touche de voir que vous êtes nombreux à penser à lui et à ne pas l'oublier...Merci...

Eduardo's daughter started off by saying that he was a great champion and also a wonderful person and father and someone who she will greatly miss.

She says she is not against the homage to Eduardo, and quite the opposite in fact.  She feels the remainder of her family will be of the same opinion.  She says her uncle Joseph Kawak is in a better position to answer questions about her father than she is.  Joseph currently lives in Lebanon.  She says she is touched by the fact that so many people are thinking of Eduardo during this time and not forgetting him.

The owner of the website edited Cindy's post to remove her telephone number which she included with it, stating that he did not want to see it get into the wrong hands.

The first time I heard of Ed was around 1986/7,when he was on the front cover of a UK Professional Bodybuilding Mag.On the cover he was in Commando clothing,holding an AK assault rifle, but his flies were the wrong way round.I noted it to the editor....who said....Are you gonna tell him then ? Sad, very sad to hear the news.

Tom Prince obviously abused a lot of different types of drugs but the ones most likely to have caused his health problems would be advil based on the kidney damage.  I think some rec drugs are toxic to the kidneys as well but I don't know.

Let's not forget diuretics.

As for Kawak and roids - bear in mind this guy ate upwards of 10,000 calories a day.  He was also an animal in the gym using heavy weights which also isn't exactly heart healthy.  And lastly let's not forget genetics.  My cousin's husband died at the age of 35 from a heart attack and never touched a roid in his life.  He was a cig smoker and probably could have stood to drop 30 or 50 pounds, but you know that just has to be genetic.
