Deadlifts from the ground....over squats, because really, we're talking about ONE exercise that will affect the way you look....bodybuilding, right? Can't be just squats cause you'll have great legs, lower back, but not much else over time. Deads will hit the thighs as well as the overall back, shoulders and arms indirectly, forearms.....for that reason, deadlifts are the ultimate 'one' lift....for BODYBUILDING.
Clean and jerk is great for upper body....CRAP.....now come to think of it, if you clean, jerk and press the thing then THAT would have to be the ultimate bodybuilding move.....hits everything!
Hmmmm.....Cleans with a pressing movement win....I think! Since I'd never do just one, that's my choice.
