240, if I do security work for various companies and industry, don't you think I'm licensed to carry a concealed weapon.  This is the South and the NRA belt.  Everyone is packing heat around these parts.  I'm referring to keeping my piece in my car going back and forth from my hotel, or course you can't carry weapons on a public school grounds.  Once on those ground, there will be security on the grounds that will prevent any hotheads acting up anyway.  My job is to come in, take care of business, pick up my trophy and head back to the hotel for the after-party.  That's it

Well, I guess you have to take anything Venom Vince says with a large grain of salt, but that's what he said. just to play devil's advocate - why dont we take up a bit of cash and fly grundy out to where vince is for the fight? i mean, it is all fine and good for guy to sit home and do nothing but train and wait while vince would have to make all sorts of adjustments and catch a plane to a different time zone and spend 2 days adjusting then have to check into a hotel and eat at dumpy restaraunts and sleep in a foreign bed with crappy sleep so he can fight the next day.

why dont we take up some cash, or since jimmy offered, have him pay for it, and fly guy out to whereever vince is. im sure we can come up with enough to cover the airfare and hotel. i doubt there would be any prize money for you guy, but like you said, you could beat up someone you didnt like so money shouldnt be an object.

i have to say though, im not sure i get the whole not wanting to fight for $1500. i mean, you already train for it. why not test yourself. do you really need a big payday and is that the only reason you train? i train in it as well and i cant wait for my first fight. shit, i would fight for free just so i could test myself and my skills and learn more. it is ok that you can talk the talk, but you also need to walk the walk. unless you only want to be a talker. and i dont say this shit to bash you or put you down. it is just, you talk alot of smack about who you are going to beat up. but yet you wont even get in the ring with an amatuer. hell, 1500 is a nice payday for an unknown. most people only get 200-300 for the fight. so you are making out well.

these small shows cover nothing. No travel, no lodging, and most importantly, no medical. The smaller shows are also where people get hurt more often. The risk outweighs the reward imo. 1500 is not alot of money when someone could possibly be laid up for weeks and not be able to provide for the family. You are right though, 1500 is alot for an unknown. I was actually wondering what promotion offered him that, or if it was just a guess he made.

Right now, I'm weighing around 197 and even after having the flu last weeks, things are getting back to normal.  I have a job to do, I have the haters to silence, I have a lot of work to do and when its done, I'm getting out of doing NPC shows and going back to the INBF where I belong.  Being a natural bodybuilder gives my a very rough disadvantage over others who use.  I feel however I can go toe to toe against the others right now but I have to be realistic as to how far I can go in the NPC.  Tre is somewhat right that I don't belong in the NPC but not right on bodybuilding.  I have the genetics to make a decent career.

Yeah, they make shit money, although Dana has started paying the "stars" a percentage of the ppv's. Along with the guys you mentioned, I heard Tito made 400k+ for fighting Forrest and Hughes and Royce supposedly were pushing half a mil for their fight(I even heard Royce made 1.5?). Overall you are absolutely right though, the undercard performers don't make shit.
