Milos,
I looked on your Enter the Mind board for information about a guy named Dr. Mauro Di Pasquale who is a nutritional expert. I found that you put a link to his site Metabolicdiet.com and said it was good information.
My question is are you familiar with his "Anabolic Diet"? He claims it is a low carb, hi protein/fat diet designed to help bodybuilders add more lean mass without fat as compared to the conventional higher carb/protein, low fat diet. It is similar to the Metabolic diet in many ways Do you find this to be true from experience or from past research. I have the book and also another training manual he co-authored entitled "Serious Strength Training". I am a beginning trainee and I want to add quality muscle and not just bulk up on misappropriated calories and end up with mostly fat accumulation. The training book has great routines and explanations but it is the diet I question. I had to ask because out of all the bb community, "gurus", etc. you are one of the only ones that truly apply knowledge and research into bb nutrition. Thanks alot.
Steven
Steven,
I have nothing but respect for Doctor Mauro Di Pasquale and I read all of his books...
His knowledge of biochemistry far exceeds mine...and I certainly had a lot to learn from him.
However, I do have some different views on THE BEST AND MOST EFECTIVE bodybuilders diet and I did get into deep conversation with him during one of the SWISS conventions...
Both Metabolic and Anabolic diets are GREAT...no question...Try it and make your experience with it.
I always like to use Bruce Lee's method: OBSERVE and LEARN (everything and anything), ACCEPT WHAT IS USEFUL (good and what makes sense), DISCARD WHAT IS USELESS (bad and makes no sense) and CREATE ESSENTIALLY YOUR OWN (style, method, opinion...ANYTHING

)....
When I teach my clients diets, training programs and..."secrets of the pros

" I tell them the same philosophy...
I tell them to accept what they find useful...and usually I would ask them at the end IF they indeed have found anything to be useful and that makes sense...
Normally - I get the answer - everything makes perfect sense...and THAT is why they continue with "my methods"...
Mauro Di Pasquale has MANY satisfied customers as well...believe me.
