your weaker because you have less carbs.....mainly, also, maybe a tiny bit less muscle. not much though. once your done dieting and jump back into full carbs..youll be just as strong if not stronger than before.

I'd say aim to drop 2 lbs a week.

Then you're less likely to have this problem.

Drink plenty of fast carbs PWO.

well sometimes you try to go to counseling or stay together for the kids but then sometimes it just does not matter and no matter how hard you try your just lose strength and no matter what you do while losing weight you find you and strength just can't seem to get it together..sorry.. ;D

yes I do think the less carbs has an effect but this happens to me every year and it takes me a long time to gain all my strength back :(

I totally agree with Hedge and I also run about 30-40 grams of glutamine along with 20g (10g with breakfast carbs, 10g pwo w/40g carbs) plain "yes plain" creatine and it seems to help quite a bit.  Good luck...

So does deca at 400mg weekly and winstrol at 50mg every other day with proviron at 50mg daily.

That keeps me just as strong 2 weeks out of a show as I am 6 months before a show. It's great!

Otherwise...5-10mg of creatine daily helps...5 grams upon awakening and 5 grams right after workout w/ simple carbs.

As aforementioned, 1-2 pounds of fat loss per week is ideal, any more than that you then risk losing muscle as well.

I've been using glutamine and BCAA's while dieting.  Seems to help with holding onto size and strength.  In fact, my poundages have gone up on a few lifts.

when cutting....you are gonna lose at least a small amt of strength, its just inevitable....try not to worry so much about it....strength is not the goal right now, your main goal is cutting....theres no way you can expect to be just as strong while cutting as you are when bulking....and it doesnt matter how much AAS you do while cutting your still gonna lose a little strength....i know its tough to deal with but its just part of the game....dont worry whenever you start bulking again the strength jumps right back

so r u aiming to get your fat lose?

if yes, u r losing your muscle as well now

just check it, which exercise do u lose reps, check for the muscle length
u must find it smaller now :o

another weaker reason would be carbs, if u r really taking less carbs than before

but I have to remind u
if u want to get the bodyfat away, it doesn't mean u'll have to lower your carbs take in very much
u should only lower your carbs takein just about what u need, or little bit lower than what u need

so, if u know the whole story, and r not taking like 500 cal per day
I have to tell u that lost of strength is inevitable
as u r really taking not enough carbs, the main source of ur energy

my experience is : don't take low carbs meal every day, non-stop
do it in intervals
when u feel u r losing strength, it's time to go back to "your normal diet" again
then u will see some lbs lost afterwards

it works for me, don't know if it works for u too ;)

If you are an experienced lifter and you lost 25lbs, you lost both fat and muscle.  It's really almost impossible to lose a lot of weight and not have muscle come off with it.  Ler's say you have a natural bodybuilder who weighs 190lbs and has a true 15% body fat.  That's pretty lean but no where near ripped.  That's 28.5 fat and 161.5 lean.  Let's say this lifter got down to a ripped 7% fat and stayed at 190lbs.  In a perfect world he would be 13.3 pounds fat and 176.7 lean. Of course this exercise in figures is not the real world.

What would happen to the real world bodybuilder is that at 190lbs and 15% he would diet, cardio and exercise for the contest.  He might end up at 7% but he would lose muscle during the process.  Hopefully a minimal loss. Gaining muscle for an experience natural lifter while getting ripped is a goal few can reach.  Juice users are exempt from this discussion because they can actually gain lean body mass while getting ripped.

I think a practical approach is to lift heavy in the off season.  Stay fairly lean.  When attempting to get ripped stop  using singles and keep the reps fairly high.  Try to stay strong with reps. Don't use very low reps or singles that will remind you that you are losing strength.

These are my thoughts.  I'm sure many will disagree.  On a side note.  How many guys are "guesstamating" there body fat with these incredible low body fat %'s.  I have seen so many out of shape fat guys claim they are around 15%.  Another thing I feel fat calipers are way off.  I know there formulas figure out what visceral fat is by subcutaneous fat levels but I don't think they are accurate.  People carry fat distributed in different areas. One guy might have a very small pinch test on his tricep and thighs yet have a massive pinch on his chest and  ab region.  Another guy could be more of the opposite distribution. These electronic gadgets give me a different reading in the same day by sometimes as much as 2%.  I don't think they are useful for a bodybuilder. Very lean bodybuilders often get high readings with these electonic gadgets.  I think the only test that carries any weight with me is under water weighing. I think the mirror if you don't have a circus mirror is the best guide if your honest with yourself.
