I don't know who I feel more sorry for, the 20yr. old stripper trying to go to school even though everyone knows she will never finish, or the ones in their 20's that decided to make a carreer out of it and see where life takes them.

Right on. Good luck man. Med school was actually my Plan A but after a major in biochem I couldn't take it anymore. Ended up in computer science instead. Plan B was pretty much A wall..

Thanks man, it has been a long road here too. I am going to give it the best I got  :D I agree biochem can be a bitch though.

I think I only know one girl who was actually going to college.
If you can stay away from the smack, and remain single(the other smack) it is a huge cash grab.
90% of it tax free.

I'm almost 25, I've got three years left on my mortgage and my car is paid for (2004 Grand Prix).
I wouldn't change a thing.

Maybe when things aren't bright and perky anymore, I will also go to Med school.  ;D

...as a case study?

Do you have the marks for Med School? Money helps, but, first and foremost are marks. I also don't know what would happen in an interview situation if they asked about previous work experience and that kind of thing is mentioned. Anyways, good luck regardless.

I'm glad you appreciate my work there, brah...but it's so very true!

The City of Chicago made the enterence exam for firefighters so dumb so the fkn 'Gs' can pass...it didn't even have mathematics because you know...MATH discriminates even though scientifically speaking MATH is the same and consistent EVERYWHERE but thats besides the point. It was at 5th grade reading comprehension. I was bored during it EXCEPT at looking at the interesting characters comming in to take it...

I seen bling bling...grills...hats busted to the right or left(depending on who the represent)...that gangsta crip walk...pants hanging off their asses...one pant leg rolled up...complete fkn sterotypical ummm...you know.

I was sitting there...middle of question #15...all sudden I heard faintly..."tryin to catch me ridin dirty...tryin to catch me ridin dirty..." then...' wut up...awww wassup baby...naw I aint be wit dat girl why u gott be trippin...Im all up at that fire man job thing...yup...naaa I just be sittin here...huh...naaa I just be chillin tonite...wat u be doin? '

Funny thing is if my cell phone went off and I answered it...my phone would get taken away...because the proctors wouldnt fear I'd make a 'race issue' out ofit. Also...the exam notification letter stated 9am SHARP! No exceptions...who were all the ones comming in at 9:20..9:30...9:35...9:47? Uh huh...yup! They will be the first ones the city hire because they HAVE to...front line saving lives...causing more fake non existent racial tension in the fire houses...on their cell phones juggling their mistress's...and blaming 'the man' for everything.

I fkn hate liberal democrats who see nothing wrong with this....

A re-affirming quote from our mayor about the exam:

"We not only want the best-qualified set of applicants. We also want the most diverse set of applicants. We want a Fire Department that looks like Chicago -- and that means more women and minorities in the ranks. I want children in Chicago -- regardless of gender or background -- to see Chicago firefighters in action and think, 'That could be me some day"

So when you're burning alive in your apartment bed and you look up at the 125lb black woman attempting to drag your charred, half-dead body from your soon-to-be firey tomb you'll think "Now this is an accurate respresentation of our cities people...keep pullin!"
