Don seems like a nice guy and i wish him the best. Cant help being concerned for him though. IMO Competitive BB with pre exsisting kidney problems is russian roulette. Still, his body........... ???

Kidney problems, is putting it mildly.

Why isn't he mainly concerned with surviving?

I believe PBBW is contributing to the cause, are we not?

Adonis was making a comparison between the Mr. Getbig and an IFBB show...granted, he's not playing with a full deck...

Adonis...is the deck you're playing with half empty or half full??

I don't think you have any deck at all...you're deck-less, you are without deck, deck free, you're sans-deck...

Who the F**k are any of us to tell Don what he should or shouldn't do with his body? Lord knows what some of these guys are doing in prep for the big show in a couple weeks. He's a grown man who knows his body better then any of us. He's not taking any diuretics, which as anyone who knows professional bodybuilding knows, this is where many guys have health issues the day of the show. Any doubts, ask the athlete's rep about pushing the envelope too far.

Hmmm... based on this logic, anyone can compete in the contests as long as they get a ‘doctor’ to sign a waiver. What if you knew he had a heart attack in the past? If that ok? Can you honestly tell me that his changes of getting injured, or something happening is the same as an athlete with functioning kidneys? Can you honestly tell me that you know all about every part of the training and the other function of his body parts to tell me that having no kidneys wont cause any factor? Have you talked with any other doctor who has heard of this and advised of this?

I like Don, he is a good guy, but someone needs to say what they think. The guy is getting another chance at life, why take a serious risk?

If something occurs to Don, anything at all, or later on, something happens, what then.... will we say it was ok because a doctor signed a waiver.

Would they let Don compete in any other sports, basketball, football, baseball, soccer, tennis?

You though, better know when to hold`em, know when to fold`em,and know when to walk away, you just may be out of aces when the dealings done.

Hate to see you end up like Prince or Don Long.

I think the kidney did not sustain in Don's body, and it was his sister that donated it.

But, given all that, even if Don signed all of the waivers, why would you want to go and compete on stage? Just to show everyone or even yourself that you can be on stage competing in a pro show.

What if something happens? Anything? Would it be worth it.

Yes, just because the dialysis machine, even with revolutionary advancements, does not mean that other factors are taken into routine. Why even take a chance?

So later on say I competed one more time on stage...

It's the principle. It doen't matter who donated it, in the end SOMEBODY cared enough to help him and here he is risking his health over stepping on a bbing stage.......

I agree with the rest of our points though..............unre al.

Don was checked out by his doctors and given clearance.

Are these the same Doctors that are supplying him with gear or the one's who do the "testing" for the IFBB??

Chick, admit you pity Tom Prince. Although you may still be friends with him, the primary benefit for you is to feel better about your own life when you see what a miserable existence he's eeking out.  Come on man, admit it...

Actually Tom is doing quite well from what I understand. Property managment/real estate is quite lucrative especially in CA.  He is probably makes making more money now than he ever did while competing.
