Might just be a case of keeping diet as it is and add couple more shakes, or stop all cardio?!

That doesnt seem right.  Have you checked with your doctor to see if you're healthy, losing that amount of weight so quickly whilst eating 8 meals a day?

If you're healthy all you can really do is indeed drop the cardio and maybe replace all protein supplements shakes with protein and carb shakes.
It hasn't helped...

A shake before you go to bed works wonders. But what worked for me is to wake up in the middle of the night and drink a shake. It sucks getting up for it, but man does it work.

Did your boyfriend mind you waking him up for your protein?

And that comment came from where? Someone asks for some advise and I give what works for me. And you give some off the wall comment that probably took no brain cells for you to come up with. Why don't you go on another board and play a game of hide and go fuck yourself.

hey guys
is this morfe a training issue or a  'eat more issue'?? would it be better if I  bumped down to a four day split to get more days  to be 'lazy'?? I'm just trying to look under any rock for the answer. I have the  lean muscle mass alright.. I just got to make it fuller.. this is how serious I am, when i miss a meal. I'll get pissed at myself. but most of the time.. but its mostly the time crunch thing.

First of all beating yourself up over missing a meal is not going to help, as it creates stress for yourself, never gain any weight if your stressed. 4 day split is fine, optimum is 5 with 2 rest days. What kind of rep sequence are you using, how many sets per bodypart, need some more to work with. As far as gaining, again I can't stress enough to try the shake in the middle of the night, look at it this way, your body is geting no food for at least 8 hours so it starts to burn while you sleep. If you give it something else to burn such as a shake then it will not be burning what you already have in the middle of the night. You follow me?

I'm doing around  12 working set..3-4 exerise per muscle group.. I'll  diff try the shake but usually if i can't sleep b/c I'm too hungry or i  get up in the middle of the night hungry. I'll eat something solid. sometimes a shake is not engoh for me..

My reps are in the eight to ten range.. i would perfer six to eight but I just always get more reps then i think..

MRP shake as opposed to a protein shake, it's just easier then rummaging to find something to eat in the middle of the night. Working sets seem to be on point, as I do around the same myself. As far as the reps 6-8 for the bigger muscle groups ie: chest, shoulders and back. 10 -12 for smaller groups, bi's and tri's for instance. Now here is were alot of people seem to get it wrong as did I for the longest time. Legs need a lot more reps, leg press 20 - 25, squats 10 - 15, extensions and leg curls around that 15 mark. When I do legs I do 8 working sets of squats alone with 2 warm ups, plus the regular exercises. My legs in the last few months since I have changed to this have grown 2 - 3 inches. Also try alot of compound movements, try 2 weeks of this....mon,wed,fri...squats, deadlifts and bench no more no less. 5 working sets of each movement. Huge shocker on the system, your body will not know what hit it.

Its very simple. To gain weight, you need to ingest more calories than you are expending. Its DIET, as in EAT and EAT and EAT. The training program is secondary.

Stop making excuses and do it. EAT.

I used to think I was the same way. 4000 calories a day and I've gained 27 pounds in 4 years later.

Now c'mon WOOO, look at the adonis diet, those guys eat everything that is bad for them and they look like they should be on stage...LOL....can you tell the sarcasm in my voice....oh it's true. Seriously though, if he's young his metabolism could be that high, my friend will sit down at a buffet keep eating and won't leave until they tell him to and yet he still does not gain an ounce. I don't know how but it is possible. So there could be some merit to this guys story.

So does he go to the buffet every day? Or is it once and a while and every other day, he's eating erratically and only taking in 1500 calories a day?

Gaining weight means consistently eating every day, on the clock, every 2-3 hours. Getting enough protein, carbs and healthy fats.

There are no excuses if you want it bad enough.

As I write this, I'm eating an 800 calorie breakfast of chicken, potatoes, egg whites, a whole egg and a whole wheat bagel. Do I feel like doing this every day? No! But I do it because I have to and I'm not a whiner like this guy.

Your point is well taken, I do understand fully as to what you are saying, ya my friend does this about 2 times a week not every day. I'm sure it would not be easy on the stomach nor the wallet IMO.

Is this guy a whiner? I would not say that as so much as to say somebody that may be new to the game and is looking for the right answer to a problem he has. Not everyone may have the will nor the determination such as yourself. I will be the first to admit that I have fallen off a diet before a competition, when other factors come in to play, death in the family, holidays that sort of stuff. Every newbie will learn through trial and error that bodybuilding is mostly diet and training is just a small part of it. But has to be learned by them to really sink in.

How much do you currently weigh & have you adjusted your diet/eating regimen lately?Let's say you needed x amount of calories to go from say a 180lber to a 190lber & you achieved that goal,...great.Now, from a 190lber you want to achieve a weight of 200 lbs.Obviously the diet you used to get up to 190 lbs will not be enough calorie wise to get to the 200 lbs you want to be.

yea, i wish i can  drink more. but diary isn't a good too-go product. I started to add in oatmeal in my whey shakes.

I think that, I'm going back to a four day split. I dont know if I'm its just something going around or its my body telling me that I'm overtraining but I  have a small flu or something. but I'm just recovering from it at this point.

also, on the split change, I noticed that, my training  is  30-40 minutes a day.. I train with alot of intensity that might be the downfall..so people tell me, to lower my intensity and rest  more between my sets to get more recovery but once I'm in the gym I just go. and try to get out  quickly.

eat more calorie dense food, plain and simple, weight gain is a simple mathematical equation Calories In vs. Calories Out, more fast food, more steak, more carbs, coat your egg pan in the morning with Olive Oil instead of Pam, drink milk instead of water, eat ice cream, eat potato chips instead of baked potatos or rice, a couple of king size Snickers is 1100 calories, eat them before you train, you lucky bastard i wish i could eat like you, i gain weight so easy.
