The amount of weight used does not equal a muscle gain. You are showing that you really don`t know a whole lot about how muscles grow....
If the sheer amount of weight was responsible for a physique then this guy would dwarf you as he is able to outlift you on any movment and he weighs 135 lbs. Certainly his lifting prowess is due to physics dictated by his bone length and low center of gravity as well, but you get the picture.
Sadly, he does not dwarf you.
How tall are you Chris?.....I can find 20 guys, same height as you, able to lift more weight than you can, but are considerably less muscular.
Weight used does not dictate a larger muscle. Weight is not the end all.

I never stated that load was the sole factor in growth. It is a factor, yes. In fact, all other factors being equal load plays a HUGE role in hypertrophy.
Olympic lifters tend not to be overly muscular in the same sense as a bodybuilder because the movments they practice only place a truly heavy load on the traps, lower back, and legs to a lesser degree. Otherwise the movements by virtue of their nature do no place nearly the same degree of tension on the musculature as do traditional bodybuilding and powerlifting movements.
