yea chicken fried steak is my ultimate favorite meal. When I moved from San diego to CT with my parents, we drove cross country. Every waffle house, or diner, or whatever, I ordered that every lunch and dinner (drove through the south). Been to Texas 3 times and its all I eat when I have gone there. Yup had eggs with gravy and biscuits and gravy

Depends if it's a REAL tailgate or just a "tailgate party". At this time of year, standing out in the brisk weather before a game, chili is easy. My baked beans are always a big hit with the standard grilling fare.
Here's a little twist on an old fav
Brie and Burgundy Burgers
Turn plain old hamburgers into something special with these red wine and brie cheese flavored burgers. We like serving these burgers on grilled slices of French bread with caramelized or grilled onions and Dijon mustard, but your favorite toppings also work well. These burgers are best prepared and eaten immediately afterwards, but the uncooked burgers can be refrigerated for a few hours before cooking.
2 pounds ground sirloin
3 tablespoons red wine
Salt
Freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup Brie cheese
Handling the meat as little as possible, mix the sirloin with the red wine, salt and pepper. Gently form it into eight 1 inch thick patties. Using your thumb, or the end of a wooden spoon, make a small pocket in the center of the burger. Add a tablespoon of the Brie to each hamburger and then pinch the meat around the top to seal the burger. No cheese should be showing. Grill over medium high heat for 4-6 minutes per side, or to the desired doneness. Serve hot.

One of my friends (and for the life of me I can't think of who ::) ) makes a tator tot casserole for her kids and they absolutely love it. I think the tots are used as a topping before baking or something. I'm sure there's all sorts of recipes out there - recipes.com - cooks.com

You can put like 4/5 porkchops in a crockpot w/ some veg stock , chopped garlic and bbq seasonings let it go until it's fork tender .. take it out and shred it up .. take the "juices" and reduce them .. put the meat back in the reduced juices.. grab a roll and make some great pulled pork sammiches with some monteray jack on top ... mmm yummm
