Title: Mens Physique vs Classic
Post by: bhank on August 08, 2021, 09:21:45 PM
So I notice the classic has weight limits but I can't find any weight limits for physique?? The amatuer Olympia has a master mens phsyique and an Open Classic but no masters classic just a master bodybuilding? No over 40 or 45 divisions either may be best to wait for master nationals but curios

So I notice the classic has weight classes but

You have to get your mommy’s permission to compete.

Again tough guy hiding behind a troll account wouldnt dare say shit to me in real life I would have ended you months ago you fucking pussy

I am already planning to go to the O the only question is if they have a division in the amatuer that would interest me would prefer an over 40 class

Well you need legs to compete for classic. So that’s out for you. However, they do have wheelchair bodybuilding which would suit you well.

Men’s bikini is by height limit only.

Also, with your Olympia ready body why waste your time with an amateur show get the special invite and compete in all 4 divisions. Bikini, classic, 212, open.

Champ champ champ champ status.

I mean yeah 207 is kind of thick but I honestly think I could take the rest of the lineup I certainly wouldnt be the worst and they are all short none of them are in that great of condition I could come in the leanest

Dude by all means pump yourself full of that shit I don't pin any oil into my upper body my delts my chest my arms these are small muscle groups with a lot of vascularity I don't recommend anyone stick anything in them if you have a problem you want it in your quad or glutes. I also have had mutliple surgeries and have actual hardware in my shoulders I am not sticking oil anywhere near them

I just wanted to go this year and get a pic of me out angling the pros at the expo but I dont know when in Rome I know I can bring better condition than this lineup but some of these guys are thicker not sure what judges might prefer but I can make zane look fat I get really lean really quickly if I don't deliberately stuff my face

But anorexia is a real thing I could come in anywhere from 200-230 and my 230 while not as lean would probably be lean enough

You don't think my midsection would be tighter on stage after a dieuretic and an anti E??? I am a spray tan and a 2 day diet away right now. It’s not like I am fat and don’t exercise. My blood pressure actually looks pretty good this am. A slightly higher resting Heart rate is just normal for me people are different doesn’t mean I am not in shape all I do is workout and not just lift I plan to walk several miles on the beach today

Yeah 200lbs would be the limit if I entered classic but Mens Physique doesn't appear to have weight restrictions. Just trying to figure out what class would be best for me. The amatuer 0 has a master physique or bodybuilding no master classic. Also this guy I posted took 4th in master open not classic

Ok but beating the guy who took 4th in the Masters Olympia in Open bodybuilding even just at Arms is a pretty good fucking start. Also his legs are just leaner as he prepped they really don't look that big to me but yeah bringing up legs and back would be focus they might look larger once I drop 10lbs of water. Just took these in better light.

Bhanks, I was an NPC judge for many years and the  Mr/Ms America when I judged AAU contests.

You don't have the right look to do well in MPD.
Even if you did your wt down for classic CPD, your body lacks the lines and flow to do well there.
Since Zane is the ultimate look for classic, I'm surprised you'd think about competing in that

However, you might be ok , in a masters over 40 bodybuilding division at a local NPC contest.

Why not just go for that Pete Grymkoski " look you always admired.
Good luck and let us know what you decide, but, consider getting on stage.
Trust me, you'll have a whole different outlook on bodybuilding ,afterwards.

Talking about it on get big and actually doing it, are 2 very different things.

On a serious note, if you really don't want to compete in a contest, fine.

Nothing wrong with being Mr PoolBoy  :D

Ok, on a serious note, let me give you an example we can all understand:

We've all know a guy , who's a stud legend...in his own mind.
He goes to the club, and brags about all the top self pussy he can pull.
He often ridicules other guys for hooking up with "ugly skanks" ( aka real girls) , he'd never touch.
However, you never actually see him pick up a girl and go home with her.

When confronted with that reality, he uses some lame excuse about waiting for  a perfect "10".

BHanks, you  sound like the bodybuilding version of " That Guy"  ;D

The question is if I did a bodybuilding show should I cut down or just go as is and try to have as much size as possible. Looks like a show is in 5 days but kind of would want to change formula and dry out a bit. Also don't I need a routine with mandatories or something?

I have to drive my girl to an eye doctor friday and its a 7 hour drive couldnt really get there in time to get ready for the show sent an emaikl asking of over 40 gets a sword I dont know I feel likek this would be a good show but my girl is getting lasix surgery friday and needs a driver

I'd wait at least a month or 6 weeks before competing. Your body is in decent shape,
but you'd need to be a few lbs lighter to look ripped under the stage lights.

In fact, you need a few WEEKS to practice the basic poses on stage .
front  and back lat , dbl bi, ab/thigh, side chest and tri, etc.

If you decide to go for it, make sure you use a few coats on pro tan bronzer to look really dark before you hit the stage.

Good luck.

You cant pose for shit........how do you perfect a posing routine in 5 days?

Lets see you hit a lat spread, ab + thigh pose, side chest, side tricep, double bicep, back lat spread, front lat spread and most muscular shot......betcha`you can`t do it .......try them out on your deck we all could use a good fucking laugh after your crybaby meltdown last night.

Posing on stage hitting all the mandatories is a bitch but one thing for sure is you wont make the cut so you can rest up when the top 5 guys comparisons take place.

Fucking dumbass.

I don't know your current financial situation, but competing can be pricey.

NPC card = $135  some promoters will let you buy one at the show, but others require it in advance.

Contest entry fee = avg for state/local = $100 plus a late fee ( $50 + ?) if you enter a week or 2 before the show

posing trunks - 2 pairs  ,  $50 or more

Pro tan bronzer - 2 bottles minimum , aprox $50-60

Plus, if the contest is more then a 2-3 hr drive, you'll need a hotel room for the weekend = minimum 2 x $50 = $100

Add to  that any food, gas plus tickets  for friends and family you may want to attend .

In basic ,round numbers, it will cost at least $500 to cover the basic costs to actually compete and do well.
You can double or triple that cost for competing in a national show you need to travel to.

Plus, you'll need to practice doing the mandatory poses and prepare a final routine and have an edited song recording ready to go.

A big part of the reason I stopped in competing, 25 years ago, was the $$ cost .
For the next 15 years I only judged instead and did my own thing in the gym.

On a serious note, I don't think he should, until he gets the rest of his life taken care of.

As we both know , competing can be a financial drain and I don't think BHank needs that stress.
Plus, if he's doing to quiet the haters by competing, that's pointless.

The same "haters" will pile on more, even if he wins a local masters show.
They really don't care about his physique and are just fuk'n with him  ;D

I'd advise him to get his life in order and laugh off the negative cracks  on forums and social media

Do you think Arnold would forgo a contest to take his girl to eye surgery? That's what separates the champions from the also-rans BHank.

You don't think my midsection would be tighter on stage after a dieuretic and an anti E??? I am a spray tan and a 2 day diet away right now. Regardless though it would be damn close and I have not been prepping dieting and dehydrating. I would do just fine and look good on stage. My arms are bigger than his

Your entire right arm is a weakness on stage.  Both the bicep and the tricep are too small and asymmetrical.  You don't get awarded pity points for fighting back from injury.  That guy owns you whether or not you take diuretics.

Bhank has a long way to go before he looks like Pete. Maybe in his next life....

Howard this guy`s just dreaming I KNOW FOR A FACT he will never do a contest.

Anyone want to bet me?

Why not encourage Bhank to enter a bodybuilding competition ASAP? Until he does, it's all talk and nothing more. If it goes well....like he even places....he can brag about it. If he doesn't.....he can do what other losers do, say the judges were blind, stupid or the competition was fixed. Either way, it will be good entertainment for everyone on Getbig.  ;)

I've posted this before but when I was in Rochester years ago I saw Danny Padilla and Grymko do an exhibition at a local bodybuilding contest. They both stood about 3 feet from me when they were about to go on stage. Gyymko was a monster but Padilla was way more impressive- huge but perfectly symmetrical- essentially flawless.

Bhank has no fucking clue how good these guys are, and he is light years away from even being close to even Padilla.

As a reference, I saw Cutler a few years ago in the Charlotte, NC  airport. Even being retired he was a monster. Just beyond belief.

Ok, and best wishes on your trip to get your girl's eyes fixed up.

It was too much of a rush job to compete in a few days, anyway.

I competed with Johnny Stewart back in 1986 . He beat me in the overall pose down at the 1986 NPC Golds classic.
He eventually got his pro card winning the masters nats. I competed against him a few times and never beat him. A true freak with incredible back and ripped muscularity.
Good guy and puts on a  damn good show and I think this is in your area? Next one is sept 18 . That date could work well for you?

Thanks Howard but starting a new job that requires saturday work in Sept. Girlfriend says she is willing to reschedule the surgery and go with me this weekend. First I have a question though maybe you can help me with. I don't see all the classes listed in the schedule for this show but when I go to register it shows classes like True Novice bodybuilding and Over 40 bodybuilding do you know how that works? Will they have these classes at the show if people show up or do they just put everyone in the open and award them separate or not at all any idea? Winners get a sword but maybe not for True novice or over 40 will they have rewards for those you think? Does registration just show classes they don't have?

if only one person shows up in your weight category of welter weight then you are the winner. You will do your mandatories come back for the night show do your routine and get your trophy and then  compete for the overall.

you are not going to compete so why the charade?

What is your drying out process?

when you lose will you take it out on your gf?

Ok, good question and I'm pretty sure on the answer.

In each of the listed classes, it will likely be top 3 get an award and each person poses in the night finals.
I believe, the nice sword trophy only goes to the 1st place winner in each listed division.
In simple terms, the over 40 winner, gets a sword.

Ok, on a serious note, keep training and deal with the personal issues in your life , etc.
Just have fun on getbig and consider doing one of the 2022 shows within driving distance.
There will NEVER be a perfect time to compete . "LIFE" goes on and everyone just plows thru and makes it happen.
Take your gf and enjoy the experience.

So over 40 gets a sword or doesnt you say listed classes but they dont list over 40 but shows over 40 for registration. Really want a sword hell I will take the true novice sword if they get one. But a plastic trophy also works.

I am free now and close I can dry out on 4 days and worst case I get dead last but had a nice weekend getaway at the Marriot with my girlfriend also nice city I have never been to will do some sight seeing.

I have never even been to a show so will be fun
