Yep, Arnold was the greatest bodybuilder. He was the shit in the 1980s action movies. He made a shit ton of money, became a politician. He was all and did all these things. Does not mean I have to like him. Does not mean I cannot criticize him. He was awesome back in his heyday, I will agree. My problem is his hypocracy in telling the world how to live while he sits on his high horse doing the exact opposite.
You guys on here who cry because some of us dare to call him out on his shit? You ask what we have done with our lives? What have we accomplished? You state his many accomplishments and money as though it where all that matters in life. Well if that's how you feel then I ask you, what have you done that is so impressive then? By your own standards you are losers because you are not like Arnold.
Yes guys like Arnold are maybe one in 500 million on earth. That is why none of us will ever be like him in terms of his success. I don't give a rat's ass for him and his ideology. Had he kept his mouth shut and stayed an entertainer he would be more likeable in my opinion. Had he lived his life the way he preaches he would be more admired and believable. As it is the evidence points towards an egotistical, washed up, attention seeking ass. A man who still craves the limelight, yet his own ego has cracked his empire he spent so long building.

Nice back pedalling. The issue was never about whether one likes Arnold or not. That's a separate issue.
It whether he is considered a success or not. And, of course, I have never done anything as impressive as Arnold and never will. In fact, I have never done anything impressive -- period. But I am not the
one criticizing or questioning Arnold's vast accomplishments in life.

Arnold always craved the limelight. Always wanted to be the center of attention. Never made any bones
about it. That's one of the reasons he is as he is. And lol @ "his own ego has cracked his empire" Arnold
is doing fine and enjoying life to the fullest as he always has. And Arnold is plenty liked and admired and
and completely indifferent to whether or not you find him likeable. You know who he is, his life and all that he has done while he is not even aware someone like you even exists.

Good post, nothing can take away from arnolds success, he's accomplished everything he set out to do, simple as that and a political view or shagging the maid won't change that.
When people say he should retire arnold asks retire from what? having fun?, again, ignoring The naysayers, the man truly loves life and lives it to the max.

Rofl!  Yeah...I was surprised that he didn't know.  The funny thing is, both his younger brother and his father were born in July...I just wanted to know the date!  :)  His older brother was born in June, and he was born in May.  I don't know why he would have forgotten not online his dad's birthday, but even his birth month...stuff like this reminds me that I am a lot better with numbers and dates than most people.  What's more is that his mother is born in April [her month of birth I'm not 100% confident about, as I am with the others, but I think it's around April].  So basically all of their birthdays are within a 3-4 month period of time.  This year, his mother is turning 73, and his father is turning 76.

Shit son indeed.  ;D  But a good guy despite that...I hope human beings eventually "solve" aging.

Good, good.  Let the sperg flow through you.

I think he's is the best built man of all time, including both sides of the fence that is natural and drugged (although I think if Arnold were natural Steve Reeves kicks his ass, LOL!).  But in the last few years he's gone total libtardian and I can't abide that shit ergo, he can go intercourse himself.

It's just how I think.  He betrayed my vote (and all the confidence in him that implied) so I scorn him for what he has chosen to become.  A fucking lib.

That’s fair enough.

I wonder what changed / caused him to go the libtard route

Perhaps its just a facade to make himself stay relevant & popular
In MSM

Seeking to remain relevant drives a great many people to do whatever it takes to see their name in the news.  Being liberal means always having to say you're sorry.  No thanks.

The first time Arnold had heart surgery in the 90's I sent a damn get well card to him.  Hated hearing it, even shook me a little bit.  Today's Arnold, I absolutely had NO emotion one way or the other.

I don't wish anything bad on the man.  But he's certainly not someone to look up to in the man he is today.

I even worked with him on a movie doing stunts back in the day.  Seemed like a great guy till that Kennedy kin warped his brain.

he was young then so it makes sense to be more shook up, he's old now

nobody wants to be 70 and the only way to avoid it is to die young

I remember watching an old Bruce Lee documentary in the 90s, at the end one of the persons interviewed put a positive note on Bruce dying so young. "That man will never grow old".

I too am not a fan of old Arnold. He could have taken a more Clint Eastwood turn and really cemented his legacy if he chose too. But seeing him look and sound so weak in that recent video was still very jarring. If he never confronted his mortality before, I'd say he definitely has now.

Does Arnold fear death?  In the Pumping Iron outtakes he said that he feared the unknown.

PS - Death must come.

Arnold isn't comfortable with death,  he said in an interview he's not happy with it all just being suddenly over.

Understandable for him out of most people to have had a feeling of immortality at his peak.

I know almost all people are shot at 70 but i know two people that have changed my mind. One is a guy I worked with. He would on occasion run a charity type 5K once in awhile barely logging training miles. He retired to Florida with his wife then his wife died. He was in Florida feeling alone. He joined a running club for the companionship. He took training so serious he became an elite age bracket champion. If I'm not mistaken I think last year or the year before he was the World Champion in points from competing in Marathons around world in his age bracket. In his 70's he was running low 3 hour times. He goes deep sea fishing and has a young girlfriend. He's vibrant and healthy.

Another is a guy at my gym. Always lifting very heavy weights in his early 70's. Looks much younger than his age. While the other old men lift like old men he really kills it. I don't know how his joints held up.

Both of these guys have a strong speaking voices. It seems so many as they age get the old man voice and have no strength and energy.  I don't know if it will be me but I'm trying. Lifted hard yesterday for back/chest and ran two miles today with heavy bag work.  Tomorrow is legs.

What age are you

I’m just helping my friend back in the gym 5wks after a triple heart by pass
His arteries were clogged though his heart very strong - surgeon said it’s what
Kept him Alive as he’d suffered 2 heart attack’s in the previous wks & didnt
Recognise he’d had them.

He’s 69 and a very lean muscular physique looks at least 10/15 years younger
Than he is.

Aging sucks:

I think he looks great here for someone his age. Just go to any public place, say a mall, and just
look at the parade of fatties shuffling by, most of them chewing on some snack.

Aging sucks:

Only really bad thing is his hair color, no beard and that he looks "collapsed". Maybe a new anti aging treatment with a medical, light weight steam roller could help him regain some of his statue.
