Can you please share your ideas? I am fascinated. Also do you do ever just do a pullup and Hold for as long as you can until you drop, then immediately try again.
I have been messing with that technique as well and found that there is no better back exercise.

i use a 2 ropes...no knots with a caribiner at the end(one for each hand..helps grip strength)
an ez curl bar with a caribiner on each side...helps with different hand positioning
standard seated cable row handle (the "V" lookin' one)
tricep rope, try pull up in a "thumbs down" grip...that one is tough
good ole' wide grip pull ups
close grip pull ups
im developing a "fat bar" one now actually...
negatives are good too. works best with a training partner...pull up...negative until failure, then have your partner help you back up..repeat for reps.
