the man has trained for most of his adult life, and now you want him to walk away because you say so?
after he "walks away" as you want him to his revenue stream will all but dry up. As long as he can remain competitive and still make some money then why not compete?
I don't see you begging for bret favre, shaq or beckham to just walk away and they are clearly past their prime
For some reason, Beckham greedily cashing out by dicking around in the competition-free environment of American soccer, even though he's already stinking rich [though saddled with a very expensive trophy wife
], doesn't bother me at all. After putting his name on a fucking perfume, for Christ's sake, he doesn't seem to have much dignity left to lose.
Ronnie hasn't made a fraction of that - so sure, you could make a financial argument for his grinding it out for a few more seasons. But, on a personal level, I think he'll ultimately lose more from the tarnishing of his legacy than he'll gain in his bank account.
I mean let's face it: the man appears to have zero interest in anything outside of bodybuilding. And he's already got a huge home gym and a big-screen TV to watch while he uses it. What else is he going to spend his money on? Collecting the Great Books?
