I'd love to toss her salad and put some veggies into her tiny pert.
Toss who's salad? Palumbo's? Does he know about this?

i was looking through some old copies of MD last night and he bases his diets on Scott Connelly's theories of "nutrient partitioning", he claims that you can eat unlimited calories as long as they come from protein and fats and no carbs, what do you think?
Thats just fucking stupid and makes zero sense.

You know better than that.

I've read a couple of Scott Connelly's books and his theory of nutrient partitioning does not eliminate carbs.  It reduces or eliminates bad carbs, like white rice and potatoes.  Scott Connelly is also against Fructose in the form of juice and especially in the form of high fructose corn syrup.

And what about the carbs in your peanut butter and various nuts?
Glad you're here Sean. I  voted for you as one of the most respected 'gurus' on this board.

The carbs found in natural peanutbutter is about 6grams per serving. Those are fine is just ADDING any more is where the problem is.

With the sample diet I listed...one is probably getting about 40-50g of carbs daily which is very adequate to power you through a workout.

These people are really stupid.  Eliminating a Macro Nutrient is really a poor thing to do.

They don`t realize that they could accomplish a better result by eating ALL MacroNutrients but eating the same amount of calories.

Idiots.

Also, being more familiar with the diet by DiPasquale, where you have 1-2 carb up days every 5 days, how does the carb up work on this diet? I remember hearing something about a "baseline" meal, or something to that effect..
IT doesn`t work.  There is ZERO Scientific Evidence in ANY peer-reviewed journal for this "carb-up diet".

Carbing up is for endurance athletes such as marathon runners, swimmers.  Bodybuilders are not much different than a sedentary individual as far as nutrition needs are concerned.  This has proven many times with the testing of ELITE bodybuilders in several different peer reviewed studies.

Thanks for the kind sentiment. DiPasquale requires that you stay at no more than 30 grams of carbs daily with his Anabolic Diet.
What an ignorant and unscientific approach.

Come on, Adam. I've never disputed any of your posts, I just let you state your points. Whatever works for you, great. You can't argue with it if it worked for you. I've had experience with several diet schemes, all of which have worked to one degree or another. Let me, Block, and whomever discuss this approach freely without the dispute. :)
You have to realize WHY they work.

Its very simple.  Lowered caloric amounts.  That is all.  You people are reaching for some sort of wonder diet.  Its hillarious.

DiPasquale has definitely brought some attention to the need of eating healthy fats, and how a diet can be cycled.

It really opened my eyes when Abeles stated that the barbell doesn't move up and down in a benchpress.

After that... well.
Your calves aren`t supporting the weight as much as your abdominal region, hips, lower back are.
Hamstrings is good for a few inches.  Also, your balance will totally change.  It is NOT a vertical movement as your upper body is not stationary.  You will see a huge difference.

You failed at comprehension.

First off I was speaking of squats. Second, a bench press is not done on a vertical plane at all.  More of a "J-motion".  Your joints don`t allow for vertical perfection.  It is an impossibility.

I apologize.

Of course it is the squat you claim isn't a vertical movement. 8)

Daves version of low carbs kicks ass. The fat will counter act the lethargy that comes with low carbs. Dave and GH15 both advocate the low carb diets. My only ? is the stimulants. Dave is strongly against them and GH15 is all about ephedrine. So which is it? --Block?

Monday will be the beginning of my fourth week on the diet. I am actually stronger in the gym than I ever have been (which is unbelievably suprising). Only thing is I look super flat at time  :-\ which isnt the greatest look.

But my abs are starting to come through, and my waist has gone down damn near an inch, I think it was bloat from all the water I was retaining eating all the carbs that I did before.

I'm down about 5lbs in 3 weeks, but I believe some of that is the initial water weight that I lost. Im going to do it for 8 weeks see where I'm at then continue is my abs arent deeply etched! The only reason I will go for only 8 weeks is I know that a super low carb diet can reak havoc on your endocrine system.

The cool thing is im not counting calories, just making sure I get my six meals in, which isnt tough because U can mix them up however u want which makes it fun.

Alex are u still low carbing it???
