drugs change alot, but dont change everything.
even if your on drugs you should try to become stronger in order to drive muscle growth. your margin of error will be larger for sure. and to some extent you can increase dosages to drive growth too....... but to say that 'all this stuff goes out of the window' is ridiculous.
no
drugs dramatically increase satellite cell response, they drasticallyt change blood volume, worrying about hormonal levels is a waste, worrying about "over training " by doing too many sets in one workout or staying in the gym for 2 hours... all thats out the window
the drug user can get fantastic results from volume training alone.. any kind of training really.
but of course, "lifting heavy" is still best for growth... drugged or not... but what you can do AFTER lifting hevay is out the window.. take "perfect" natural routine... (heavy weights reps 6-12 maybe 12 sets for a body part stressing basic heavy movements..) , then once thats over throw in an extra 20 sets to failure plus drop sets plus forced negatives plus everything you can think of ! ... and now you have an idea training session for a drug user....
thats why jay cutler is mr olympia.. (well, one of many reason)...because he is one of the few pro's who takes advantage of the way you can train on steroids.. him and gustavo do 30+ sets per body part going to failure multiple sets every exercise....
of course i think some imprrovements can still be made to what jay and gus do.. i never see them doing forced negatives and focusing on the eccentric portion of movements... thats HUGE !
