but since we dont know exactly what is enough we're better off doing more than less.
and 6 days isnt a magic number, i posted that as a response to your 3 times a week. but if you can get away with training more often why not train more often.

i rather hit my legs 100 times a year than 50 times a year.

not necessarily. its better to do as much as necessary to see progress. not use a shotgun approach. log what you do, and if your progressing...all is well. if not change things. dont let stuff like HIT vs high volume etc get in the way.

science has already told us alot about muscle growth. one of the big remaining questions that are left to discover is 'optimal volume'.
and optimal volume will certainly be different for different people and change depending to where in their training career they are.

and i agree hitting a muscle group 100 times per year is better than 50 as long as your recovering and weights are going up. (one reason being that protein synthesis is raised for approx 24 hours after a training session )

really. ive never seen you show any interest in anything other what you preach all the time which is basic add weight to the bar-stuff.

thats because most guys who were asking questions where trying to add finishing touches to their houses when they hadnt even built the foundation.

you are correct dude... but your advice is correct for a natural trainee only...and majority of bb'ers are not natural... most serious bb'er are on at least some kind of prohormone(designer steroid), oral, low dose..ect ect...

all this stuf goes out the window for someone using drugs

but i agree actually with the whole "grab heavy thing lift heavy thing" repeat method for a natural.....   even though its not what i ever did naturally..

Exactly - one of the reasons why I'm still tinytitted after years of pumping into every possible direction.

no all isnt well. what if you progress 50% when you could've progress 75% ? most log their strength increases, which doesnt necessarily mean theyre getting bigger, just stronger. which is good if youre into strength but not very good if youre into mass.

drugs change alot, but dont change everything.

even if your on drugs you should try to become stronger in order to drive muscle growth. your margin of error will be larger for sure. and to some extent you can increase dosages to drive growth too....... but to say that 'all this stuff goes out of the window' is ridiculous.

most people dont have to worry about rate of progress. they need to worry about progress.

no

drugs dramatically increase satellite cell response, they drasticallyt change blood volume, worrying about hormonal levels is a waste, worrying about "over training " by doing too many sets in one workout or staying in the gym for 2 hours... all thats out the window

the drug user can get fantastic results from volume training alone.. any kind of training really.

but of course, "lifting heavy" is still best for growth... drugged or not... but what you can do AFTER lifting hevay is out the window.. take "perfect" natural routine... (heavy weights reps 6-12 maybe 12 sets for a body part stressing basic heavy movements..) , then once thats over throw in an extra 20 sets to failure plus drop sets plus forced negatives plus everything you can think of ! ... and now you have an idea training session for a drug user....

thats why jay cutler is mr olympia.. (well, one of many reason)...because he is one of the few pro's who takes advantage of the way you can train on steroids.. him and gustavo do 30+ sets per body part going to failure multiple sets every exercise....

of course i think some imprrovements can still be made to what jay and gus do.. i never see them doing forced negatives and focusing on the eccentric portion of movements...    thats HUGE !

your preaching to the choir.

which doesnt go against what i have been saying. so i think you need to stop arguing for the sake of arguing and start reading what other people post. and not use other peoples post as a vehicle to cut and paste stuff from google.

the jay cutler part is totally irrelevant. you need to start learning to processes information not just copy and paste it. there is a difference between being a info spreader and someone with knowledge. knowledge takes brain activity and you have to process the info.

in general a drug user will progress better on any routine compared to a natural.

and overtraining def doesnt go out of the window. when you use steroids it doesnt mean you have to jack up volume insanely. they may let you get away with it, but thats another question.

What is the point of training "HARDEST"?

Why not train the "smartest"?  Like a way that works in long run, gives results and makes you feel good and healthy?
