Only if the Cavs don't make it to the finals....If the Cavs are in stick a fork in the Lakers....

would be a great story though...with shaq and Kobe...and Lebron goin for his first championship...It's what I'm rooting for any other teams in the finals would be a disappointment to me...

Lakers have no fear of anyone but themselves.   Lebron is just a ticket seller as is THE BIG MAN.   Kobe knows what he wants and how to get it.    So whoever wants some   Cavs,   Celts,   Wizards  whoever!

Lakers will repeat.

No way Cleveland comes close. Orlando or Atlanta will bounce them out.

I hope not I put a $100 on the cavs to win it all before the season started and got 7/1 odds which to me was a no brainer haha a chance to win $700 bucks and only out $100 if I'm wrong....(but I won't be wrong)

I think LA comes out of the West again, despite being so inconsistent.

I don't think Cleveland gets past Boston or Orlando.

Classy comment right there. ::) At least try to be original.

Len Bias had all the physical talent in the world to be a Michael Jordan like player. Damn shame what happened to him. Still scars the University of Maryland to this day.

Yeah he died the day of my middle school graduation.   But he chose his way of celebrating so we should not depress ourselves with that matter.   UMCP has moved on and so should we.   Oh   he brother got shot at the PG Plaza mall before I left Md.   Dangerous place...glad I am safe here in South Central LA.   :D

Lakers are slumping but will kick it in gear.
Cavs will annihilate the eastern conference, Orlando will falter i believe. Celtics are done.

Not really.  Bynum is out.  I don't think LA will turn it on till the playoffs.

I miss it.  I was a diehard fan in those days, all the way up to the mid 90's, but I just can't get interested in the NBA....still love college ball.

Me too.  I has a huge fan.  But we've seen a decline in overall team play, fundamentals, loaded teams, etc.  I don't think today's players respect the game.  You have throwbacks like Kobe, but he's a rare breed these days.

Too much money thru their contracts and sneaker deals....they aren't hungry for it.  think of themselves a "mogul" instead of a professional athlete.  Now its all about dancing around for 5 minutes after a dunk so you can get on sports center......ugggg......

Really?  I don't think so.  I hear that a lot, but I really disagree.  He is the hardest working player in the NBA.  He adds something new to his game every year.  One year is was the Tim Duncan off the backboard shot.  Another year it was the three pointer.  Last year he worked with Hakeem to work on his low post game.  He's in the gym three hours before game time to work on his shot.  He has been playing nearly the entire season with a broken index finger on his shooting hand.  Today's players don't do that.

Plus he leads his team in assists every year from the 2 spot and is first team all NBA defense pretty much every year.  He could have played on the 80s Laker teams.

He WAS a ball hog but no one can really say that now.    Just becasue he's the one to go to for the WINNING SHOT   does not make him a ball hog.
