What Adam does not realize is that the maintenance calorie intake constantly changes.
As does the calories you burn each day. All you need to do is just under eat and its easy to do.


Somedays I burn a fuck load, others not so much, but even doing nothing, for me, eating 2600 is a deficit.

Adam I'm confused. You say that you need 3200 cals per day just to maintain with zero exercise. You also state you are eating 2600c per day. So that's a deficit of 600c under maintenance. I'm sure you don't just sit around all day but I would assume you are not burning the copious amounts that Eugene was either. So I'll make a guess that you are also burning around 800 per day over the 3200 maintenance. So 600 plus 800 is 1400 per day over your basic needs..so you are in a caloric deficit of 9800 per week or 2.8 pounds of fat per week that you are currently losing?

Today I woke up at 176.2.

yeah yeah, but i just wanna make sure, if that icecream was say 12k calories worth, if i dont eat much the day before and nothing 2 days after, i get a reasonable daily average,im bit paranoid about that ;D

and hell,after such a meal, i couldnt even eat anything for 24hrs even if i tried, its very very saturating ;D
I usually eat about 300-600 calories in Ice Cream every day sometimes more.  First thing in the morning I always have a dessert or a Nestle Drumstick Caramel or Chocolate (they are 320 calories) when I don`t have a Dessert made up.  I had Moravian Sugar Cake the past few days in addition to the Drumstick and a Chobani Key Lime for Breakfast every day- (that usually is about 700-1100 calories depending on how big of a piece of cake I want or cut for myself.)

Here is what I had today:

Nestle Drumstick- Chocolate
Key Lime Greek Yogurt

2 Servings Blueberry Frozen Yogurt
1 Banana
Esquites (Mexican Street Corn Salad)
8 Ounce Denver Steak


So far that is 1664 calories for today.  I have 1000 more.

I got up to 189 and my calories were around 4000-5000 a day for a few months, sometimes less.  I did not keep any track whatsoever.  Its usually what I do in the winter time and just set myself a weight limit to not go over.  190 was my limit this year and I never hit it.

189 was the absolute highest I went.

So you are eating 2600c daily so how does this keep you at maintenance ? You need 3200 with zero activity? Plus all the extra cals you burn???.  I'm lost.  ??? Please explain.

I`m dieting right now on 2600 and won`t need to adjust at all.

I can easily eat 3200 and lose weight or maintain.  2600 just makes it happen a bit faster.  I have increased my overall activity also because of the Landscaping I have to do and planting crops, digging, moving rocks, brush etc...  Don`t have to do any of that in the winter.

I don`t lose 3 lbs per week.  Its not a zero sum game you know.  I need to be around 165-167.

When dieting around that amount.  I have gone lower but its TOTALLY unnecessary.

In the winter time I don`t count calories but instead keep a max weight limit that I do not go over.  I usually never hit it and I didn`t this year. 190 was the limit and I went to 189.

The Average height in the United States is 5`9/ 5`10 so I am a little taller than the average at 5`11-6 ft.  (6 ft in the morning)

My arms are longer than yours though.

2600 is a safe amount.  Low enough to lose body fat, high enough to where I am never hungry.  I could eat more for sure.  I could diet on 3000 pretty easily I think.
