Grant was average at best. Everyone at ironage gets all excited by his full biceps but ignores the fact they overwhelm his triceps and make for an unproportioned arm. Factor in his non existent calves which ironagers also conveniently skip over despite making it a point when criticizing some of todays pros and you have justone example of the disgusting hypocrisy and bias that pervades that site and those that subscribe to it. Sad.

not as crap as bill grant but did not deserve to be 3rd in mr.o back in the mid 80s.only got 3rd because of friendship with arnold no doubt.

Jusup improved immensely from about the 1980 to 1982 time period.

Grant was not the worst but got more exposure than deserved because of great density & thin skin, good vanity muscles, his persona and the fact that he was a regular at Gold's. Physique was immensely flawed-bis way out of proportion to the rest of the upper body. Cut upper body, but average sized chest, lats and delts. Muscle flow a little off. Weak legs.

He's a regular on Iron Age in the same way that Shawn is on Getbig. Remarkably unchanged appearance 30 years later!

It's guys you've likely never even heard of (except for maybe Kenny Jones ), who reached IFBB pro status by winning their country's national championships or something....  or maybe won the bantamweight class in the NPC Nationals some year.

I mean, look at some contest like the 2005 New York Pro show (formerly Night of Champions) and take a look at some of the "pros" who seemingly came out of the woodwork for that show.  Hardly pro-caliber physiques.  Here's just a few:

Some of them forfeit their IFBB pro cards and return to the amateur ranks. Usually, that's done to pursue the Mr. Universe title.

Mustafa Mohammed would have likely won the overall title at the Mr. Universe, had he not gone up against former IFBB pro Hamdullah Aytukulu, the ultra-ripped guy from Turkey, who striations were made famous at the 1996 Canada Pro Cup and Night of Champions.

Aytukulu can never be an IFBB pro again. But, the fame, prestige, and financial rewards from his homeland for winning the Universe exceed anything he would have likely gained as an IFBB pro.

What I don't understand is how some countries (namely Canada) can give IFBB pro cards to guys (and girls) who HAVEN'T EVEN WON THEIR CLASS in their country's national championships.

Look, no one is saying Bill Grant was better than people like Sergio or Arnold, who were not only the best of their era, but among the all time greats. But this thread isn't about who was the best of their time; you're making the point the Bill Grant is the WORST bodybuilder of his era, which, considering he was a Mr. America winner and placed high in many pro shows, makes your assertion a total nonesense.

Fair enough, you didn't rate the guy's physique and this is a subjective thing anyway, but to say he was the "Worst of his time" is total hogwash and not supported by fact.
