Outside of the capital city of Greece (Athens, duh) and 'maybe' one other city, the largest Greek population in the world is in Melbourne (srs). As to how much 'trade' was going on, I have nfi, other than to say that back in his heyday, there was no shortage of Aus made/sold vet gear available, so I'm not sure how much demand there would have been for stuff from overseas for most people.
Maybe I mis-remembered then, but I thought the thing was about pharmacies in Greece not giving a sh1t about prescriptions which made it easy to ship things from there to your 'family' in Melbourne...
But you mentioning vet gear reminds me of that whole 'Drive' cattle thing in the early '90s - wasn't it something like Equipoise combined with Methandriol Dipropionate to 'keep the receptors open' (oh brother smh)
