Spence by late stoppage. I'm not sure Porter's conditioning will hold b/c he is going to take a beating in this fight, just doesn't have the skills to neutralize Spencer other than opening up a cut from a headbutt or forearm.
Errol Spence Jr. (c) -900
Shawn Porter (c) +600
Welterweight unification
David Benavidez -700
Anthony Dirrell (c) +475
Super middleweight
Mario Barrios -165
Baktyr Akhmedov +138
Super lightweight
Josesito Lopez -400
John Molina Jr. +275
Welterweight
Good card but Haymon doesn't always put on true 50.50 fights.
I think Josesito has more in the tank at this point the Molina. It should be a wurlitzer for 2-3 rounds and then Josesito will force a stoppage.
Akhmedov & Barrios is the fight that really is hard to pick. My heart wants to go with my muslim brother but my head tells me Barrios stops him late or runs away with a decision in the second half of the fight.
I think David Benavidez is the goods. If he's off the coke and serious, he's going to run Dirrell out of the ring in under 3 rounds.
I think Porter has the style, strength and awkwardness to make Spence uncomfortable at times. But, I do think Spence is the real deal and will make adjustments, find his rhythm and win a clear decision. He could conceivably force a stoppage but only if he gets on track right away. He'd have to hurt Porter early and weaken him.
For PBC, this is a pretty good card. I kind of want Spence to lose (I like the kid) only to teach Haymon another lesson about not working with other promoters and making the fights that are best for boxing.
